Nursing Home Communities in Centreville, AL

"My mom is in Perry County Nursing Home and they're very helpful. It's a very rural county in Alabama and they're very nice. It's in a hospital building that was built in 1950 that was converted into a nursing home. We chose it for her because she was born in Perry County and has family over there. She is paying out of pocket and it was a good price too. We could afford it. She's in long-term nursing care. It's very clean, with good staff, and very organized. She has Alzheimer's, so she's not able to tell me everything that's going on, but when I'm there, they seem to have stuff going on for the residents."

"We chose Plantation Manor Nursing Home for my brother. The care providers seemed to have more interest in the welfare of the residents than any other community I visited. It's not a fancy facility, but the administrators and the medical director have been there a long time, and the CNAs are responsive to the need. It's an older facility, but it is very clean and smells fresh. They have beautiful flowers, well-kept lawn, and things for the people to look out outside the window."

"My grandmother is at Shelby Ridge Rehab Select. Everyone was very helpful and very welcoming, which I liked because we were very worried about her going into a facility. I immediately relaxed because they were very welcoming. It's very clean there. I was looking at that as well, and just overall helpful. My grandmother's room is very, very clean. It was just sanitized. It's very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful and asked if we needed any help. My grandmother is 94, and they're like, 'Hi, honey,' and stuff like that, and so she likes that. She likes their food. It's a full menu. I was looking at it yesterday and I saw they had Salisbury steak, rice, vegetables, and different types of soups. They had it written on one of their bulletin boards what they were having that day."
