Plantation Manor was nice. It could use some updating on the outside and inside. The staff and the people were very inviting, but you could tell it was old and kind of dated. It did not have the appeal to us that the other place had. They had certain activities, and it's definitely smaller. I think it's only a 60-something-bed community. It just didn't stand out to us as the other place did. The staff was good, very pleasant, and very knowledgeable. The common area was well appropriated, but everything could use a little bit of updating.

We chose Plantation Manor Nursing Home for my brother. The care providers seemed to have more interest in the welfare of the residents than any other community I visited. It's not a fancy facility, but the administrators and the medical director have been there a long time, and the CNAs are responsive to the need. It's an older facility, but it is very clean and smells fresh. They have beautiful flowers, well-kept lawn, and things for the people to look out outside the window.

My father in law was a resident here in 2003 and passed away there. Since I have kept in contact with their activities director "Denise" and make things for the residents at Christmas. I have been doing this since 2003 and I get more out of them allowing me to do this and the surprise expressions I get from the residents than I do all year long. It is so worth it for them as well as myself. I think Plantation provides excellent care , it's clean and Denise seems to be very involved with their well being and concerned about keeping them entertained. She does a wonderful job as well as the rest of the staff. Recently I noticed it had been painted and looks very nice and happier. The nurses seem to be very patience and kind to the residents. I am very impressed with Denise overall because she really loves her job and wants to make a difference and I believe she does.
