My sister is in memory care for now at Edgewood on Dominion in Bismarck. We're actually thinking about assisted living because she seems to be doing a little better. She's actually enjoying herself. They have a lot of activities for them to do or her to do. When she gets visitors like my nieces and nephews, they just love going there to see her. They do jigsaw puzzles together, so the people that go see her there love to go and visit with her. The staff was very good. They are really friendly. They had a hard time, like pretty much every place else, to keep nurses there. They're short on staff. But for my sister, with her dementia, she always did enjoy just the jigsaw puzzles. She helps people play bingo and stuff like that. She's actually coming out of her shell there. Her room is like every other care center and all. It has a small bed, a couch, and a TV in there. It's the same as pretty much all the other places. Actually, it's a little bit cheaper.

My mother is at Edgewood on Dominion in Bismarck. The people that work there are phenomenal. She was in assisted living in January, and last month we moved her into memory care. The staff is amazing. They're wonderful people. Her room is very nice, very warm, and very comfortable. They have a recreation room, a dining area, and an outdoor patio area. The people that work there, the staff and the management, are genuinely concerned about the residents, and create a relationship with the residents. Their memory care is very experienced with Alzheimer's.

I am staying at Edwood Vista in a one-bedroom apartment. The cost is a little high, but there is nothing much I can do about that. The staff is good. The dining room is made for smaller apartments, but it can be bigger. The food is OK, but some days, it can be better. They offer activities, like music and have singers come in. They try to do a good job. It is a nice community to live in. They have vehicles that can take you to doctors and trips, which you can go on every so often. Overall, they will treat you pretty well here.

I thought Edgewood Vista was very nice. They had an opening if I had decided to go ahead and put Dad in there. It was mostly women in the memory care, the locked-down area that he would have been in. But I thought it was nice. They said that for the few men that they had, they actually had a man come in once a week just to do some men things. And they would actually leave the facility to do something, so I thought that was very nice. It had a nice homey kitchen area where they ate, instead of a great big dining room. It is a small room with round tables that looked out onto the backyard, so I thought that was kind of nice. I didn't notice a whole lot of activities. They had all the little old ladies and a couple of men that they had there exercising as a group. Otherwise, I know they had activities. It was smaller, more personal, and I think there was a sincere interest in the people there.

Edgewood Vista is a very nice place to visit. I have a relative who lives there. She recieves wonderful care from all the staff who are employed there. They make her feel as she is at her own home, and not in an assisted living/memory care facility. They have many things for there residents to do and to keep them entertained and busy. They do there hair and nails for them and pamper them very often also. The facility is very nice and very well kept up. The outside is very well kept and the landscaping is beautiful.
