Assisted Living Communities in Minot, ND

"I'm moving into Minot Lodge Senior Living. I like the size of the apartments, they're very big, and there is lots of space. I especially like the personnel who helped me. I think her name is Danielle. She was a very nice lady. I think she is one of the head people there. She is the reason I chose it. We're both from Hawaii. From what I've seen, the physical community was really clean. The staff was really helpful. There were a lot of activities, but I didn't see too much. I went, looked at the apartment, came back to the office, and signed the papers. It looked great to me, that's why I want to move there."

"Overall, Henry Towers seems like a great community. There are a ton of activites for residents to participate in. The rooms and facilities are nice, even if they smell a bit musty (which isn't unusual for a nursing home). My great grandmother loves it there and it would be hard to take her away. The food in the cafeteria is pretty decent and the staff is super friendly. One thing that is definitely a hassle can be the elevators and parking. We found it hard to kind of get around the building but is definitely better than other buildings. However, there are a lot of amenities on each floor to compensate for that. Each floor has big screen tvs, game tables (like foosball) not to mention tons of board games. Not all of the residents are very nice but that doesn't take away from the experience. Overall, i am very pleased that my grandmother is there and she likes it as well. "

"Edgewood Vista in Minot was an older unit, quite a bit larger than the other place, but it's well-kept. The staff was very good and very nice. They provide activities during the day and they have a theater. They have nice amenities. They have a little bit of everything. They have two separate dining areas, one is for permanent people, and another one is for single elderly people. They can eat wherever they like, but they're assigned to one area or another."

"We toured Elison Assisted Living of Minot. They were very thorough in showing us everything. They were very welcoming. It looked like it was well-kept. The rooms were nice sized and well-kept by the staff. The lady that gave me the tour did a great job. She was very open and welcoming, and she answered any questions that we had. The food looked very good. The dining area was very welcoming and decorated very nicely. It's a place where you would want to come and sit and eat and visit. And they had assigned tables for people. They have a big fenced-in outdoor yard where they've got chairs and that kind of thing out there. They have a very nice outdoor area."

"I toured Somerset Court-Minot. We've decided on that place for my dad, and we are going back today to do assessments. I liked the fact that they offer a variety of different food for him to pick out instead of just eat what's made for him. I like that they had a full kitchen in their apartments. The staff was very nice, very friendly and informative. They answered my questions because I had quite a few. The apartments were roomier than the other apartments that I had seen, and they had a lot more to offer. Even though the facility was older, it was very well-kept."

"I'm at the View in Minot. My children chose it. It's a very good place and close to home. Activities vary from day to day, like we have cards and a bus that takes us travelling. The staff is wonderful, the food is at times OK, but it's not like home. We have a lady who bakes good pies and breads."
