My dad has moved to Elison Assisted Living of Minot. He gets his meals there, they come and clean his house once a week, and do the laundry for him once a week. They have medical staff there if he needs something. Overall, he's adjusting pretty well. The community is nice, they're friendly, and it seems more like a family place. The staff is really friendly, nice, and helpful, and if there's anything you need, they take care of it for you. The food is good there. He says they feed him enough, he hasn't complained and he enjoys going down to the dining area and visiting with the people or eating. They have a community center where they sometimes have people come in and play music, and they have somebody that does yoga and stuff to help them move better. They just have various things that are in place. He's got a nice apartment, it's plenty big for him with big showers that have got something to hold on to. So he doesn't have to do much straightening out. It's pretty good value for money.

I went to Elison Assisted Living of Minot. It was small, so there was not a long distance for my mom to walk from her room to the dining room. It was small, bright and pretty. It was nice looking, and it was comfortable looking. I just met the director. She would not give me a straight answer. I felt like she was deceiving us. So that's why we chose not to go there because it was based on a point system. They wanted to charge, I think, an extra 300 or $400 for each point. I think it was just all about the money. And then she lied to us and said that Medicaid would pay for assisted living if her money ran out, which is not true. So it was very deceptive. The rooms were very, very small. I felt like she was in a coach on a train. It was very clean.

We toured Elison Assisted Living of Minot. They were very thorough in showing us everything. They were very welcoming. It looked like it was well-kept. The rooms were nice sized and well-kept by the staff. The lady that gave me the tour did a great job. She was very open and welcoming, and she answered any questions that we had. The food looked very good. The dining area was very welcoming and decorated very nicely. It's a place where you would want to come and sit and eat and visit. And they had assigned tables for people. They have a big fenced-in outdoor yard where they've got chairs and that kind of thing out there. They have a very nice outdoor area.

We went to look at the Elison Assisted Living of Minot and we were quite happy with it. They can sense right away what kind of a dilemma we were in. And so they've got a really good promotion going on and their prices are a little lower. But it's also really spacious and kind of elegant, and it's all on one floor. And yeah, they seem to do a lot of crafts there and a lot of artistic sorts of things. Their meals are by menu, you have two or three selections at every meal. And the apartments themselves are kind of cute, they have a little window into the hallway. So it has a bit of a more homey feeling when you can look into your window or look into other people's windows if they want to have them open. People seem to decorate their places and take pride in them. It's nice and elegant and it feels solid, and they have oak cabinets in the kitchen, which is nice. I was quite impressed with Brenda. She could sense that we had urgency and complicated needs, and she was willing to work with us. There are a lot of common spaces, there's a community room that's beautiful and a dining room that's beautiful. You have a room where you could have a family meal, like a dining room table if you wanted to invite other people to come over and have a meal, or if you want to bring takeout in. The only thing I didn't care for too much, was it seems like the rides were going to be kind of limited. The rides would only be to medical appointments, not to the church.

My dad moved into Elison Assisted Living of Minot. It was very friendly, and the staff was very outgoing. They go above and beyond expectations to take care of a person. The room is very nice. We got a one-bedroom little suite, and it was very cozy. We moved the furniture, and they were very helpful. It was very homey. My dad is very much at home there. My dad has no complaints and says the food is very good. He gets enough, and he's not ever hungry. They have a snack cart that comes around in the morning and afternoon. He's very satisfied. The dining area resembles more of a restaurant style. They have tables, and they get a menu with three entrees to choose from. The upkeep and maintenance are very well done. It is very clean. The appearance on the outside is very nice also. Overall, you get a lot for your money for what they provide with the meals, personal care, and room. It was very reasonable. They have a community room where they have a lot of activities. They have a pool table. The hallways were wide. They have a little table where they can put puzzles together. They do my dad's laundry. They change the bedding and do light housekeeping once a week.

I find the rooms are very roomy for a single bedroom apt. They are very good at looking over the residents and keeping me in contact with my parent. The COVID has put a halt on many things in the facility but they are trying to keep everyone safe and get back to reality . They are starting back with the activities with a new director and my mother seems to enjoy this activity director. I don't care for the assigned seats for meal time but it is like this at other facilities also. People need interaction to get to know others in the facility. They just need to make the food more tasty but everyone has different taste buds. Very nice facility.... Kayla

My mother was a resident and we had an excellent experience. It was very homey, it's a small community with very caring people, and it's very pretty. The rooms were awesome, and so nice, with big bathrooms, and really nice-sized bedrooms. The staff is very caring, thoughtful, and friendly. My mom loved the food, and she loved the many choices that were offered. We liked the idea that she was seated with many different people so she could make friends.
