The persons representing this place make huge promises that are never kept. In our case special foods were required. They said they could and would deliver. The second day there the "kitchen staff" substituded every item with a note saying ENJOY. If you are looking for good care go elsewhere.

My mother was at the Brian Center for 3 weeks. I assume that the negatives were due to Lack Of Good Working Staff Members. *The rooms were drab, not bright and friendly, but pretty clean daily. *The staff or lack of staff did the best they could. Not friendly but could be due to overworked. They did their job. On days when all staff were available the atmosphere was pleasant. On the weekends, atmosphere was totally different. *The front entrance staff was polite, friendly and helpful. * Due to the lack of staff,,, the food was many many time served cold. That Really Needs To Change. *Due to the lack of staff, clients did not receive medicine in a timely manner, get to the bathroom, get garments etc changed in a timely manner. The staff that were there really tried to accommodate the clients. * Thank you all for trying to give 100% of quality care.

Brian Center Health & Retirement was a skilled nursing facility. It was noisy and I could hardly hear the girl that was giving me a tour. It was expensive. They were updating some rooms, which was no big deal. Walking down to the room that I was going to see, the hallway was noisy. I don't know why it was. The staff was fine. They were accommodating. I just didn't get a good feeling on it. The building was nice. With Covid, you have to sign in and wait for them to unlock the door.

Not very clean. Walls & ceilings stained. Older facility. Not enough staff at times, residents left waiting long periods of time. Meds not distributed at same time every day. Many staff members were very attentive & caring; some were not.

This place has been a nightmare. My dad is not getting the help and rehabilitation that he needs here. There is no communication either! In the 5 days he has been here I have only been able to talk to him twice. The room phone was broken when he got there and it took them 2 days to replace it. His cell phone stays dead, or he can't find it because they won't help him put it on charge. He has recently had a heart attack, then a stroke (partially paralyzed on left side) and dementia. He can not do things for himself. That's why he is there. Second night there he was freezing, kept asking for his flannel pajama pants and more blankets. Never got them. He called my mom for help. He fell on the floor trying to get them himself and layed there with no help for a very long time. We asked for a transfer to another nursing home the next day and three days later still not transfered. My dad is so unhappy here. I am so mad. And I feel so helpless because I'm not even allowed inside to help him myself!

This is the third visit for my husband. I live almost two hours away but the care he recieved at the center is worth the drive. Staff member Susan who works in the admission office is a blessing. The staff on the floor is the best. Food and the therapist I have no complaints. If I could give the Brian Center 100 stars I would.

My Mother is a current resident of this facility. Sometimes she gets a shower, other times no so much. She went in for rehab and it may turn into long term care. The staff is always short handed. Most are friendly and when you point out issues they handle, but you have to point them out. Her clothes have gone missing, she has had several wounds that have occurred, not necessarily due to them but I had to point them out. Space is very tight in the rooms with 2 people in a room. Smells all the time. Residents ring the call buttons and they ring forever without being answered. Unacceptable. Food is just ok, arrives cold most of the time.

My dad was in Brian Center Health & Retirement for two weeks. Some of the staff was really good and helpful. The food was brought to him, and he always ate his food. They had a 4th of July party where they had cupcakes and Church services on Sundays. I suggest that they let the family know what's going on with the patient.

When I first entered the Brian Center Health and Retirement home I was immediately impressed by the clean and friendly environment of the lobby. There were residents sitting on nice sofas reading or talking. As I progressed through the halls I was greeted by kind staff that offered warm smiles and were more than willing to assist me in finding the resident that I was looking for. When I located my friend I was impressed with the cleanliness, fresh smell, and pleasant atmosphere of her room. She was clean and well cared for and all smiles. I was happy to find her doing so well. When meal time came I expected to be asked to leave the facility but instead I was invited to stay and eat with my friend. Curious about the meals that the center offered for my friend I accepted and once more I was pleasantly surprised. The meals were well balanced and very tasty, nothing like what I had expected. All in all I am very impressed with the facility, the staff, and the level of care that they give to my friend.
