I was at Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. The staff was good. I enjoyed being around them most of the time. It's a one-floor facility. It was good. It's better than the other place. The food was better there, too. They had few activities.

My mother in law has been at Alpine since February 2024 and we have now had to involve Hospice for her care. The nursing staff does the best they can but many times she was left to wait over 45 min for assistance to use the bathroom and the food is inedible. She has been losing almost a pound a day. The final straw for us is their doctor, Dr. Am**don. Alpine only has one doc and he is in once a week and it’s a 50/50 whether he will return the nurses calls. My MIL has been in pain for 2 days and we have been waiting for him to prescribe a plain Tylenol suppository (not any sort of controlled substance) for her as she struggles to swallow anything due to her condition. He finally called back last night and refused the request with no explanation. We requested that he contact us (health proxy} and he has not. We ended up having to convince her to attempt crushed Tylenol in applesauce and had to watch her gag and almost vomit while she did so. I’ve checked this doctor’s health grades rating and they are very negative. At this point we are desperate for assistance and hospice can’t help as the final decisions are up to this doctor. They can only make recommendations. My MIL is dying and will most likely pass while suffering due to their choice of doctor. My advice to anyone looking at this facility is consider looking elsewhere, this facility charges a lot of money for less than average service and medical needs for pain are not met. No one should have to watch an elderly family member suffer like this in their final days of life, ABSOLUTELY NOBODY. Complaints will be filed with all relevant government agencies regarding this matter,

My brother is at Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center now. My only issue there is they're not meeting his basic care as far as showering because he can go weeks without getting a shower. Overall, it's a nice facility. The administrative office is great. When I have to talk to someone in finance, that's great. His day to day experience with the staff on the floor, he hasn't complained about that except for the showering. But he's always complaining about the food. The layout of the facility is nice. They have a nice area where they can sit outside. They have a nice dining hall. The activity director is very nice, and they try to keep them active. The facility is clean for the most part.

My husband was at Alpine Rehabilitation & Nursing Center and I liked it very much. They were very good and the staff members were very thoughtful. The rooms were laid out pretty well, but they did not have very many private rooms and most of the rooms were double rooms. They had their own showers and bathrooms, they also had what you call a community shower where the nurses would help the residents out of their rooms to go and take a shower. The quality of the food was good. They had a rehab room where they set them up for exercise, they had a community room where they would sometimes put on a movie for them, and some people would come in to play music for them. So it was set up very nicely. They didn't have enough help at times and some of them were a little bit stressed out. The facilities were very clean and if anything needed to be done, they get it done. In terms of value for money, it might be a little bit high but it's ok.
