My mom has moved to Landmark at Desert Gardens. It's a decent place, they are concerned about their patients, and the staff is very friendly. There's a piano downstairs that's available. They do a spa day, like on Fridays for the ladies, they do their nails and stuff. There's a beauty salon in there once a week for the ladies. They have board games, they have a reading library where they have different events. Father's Day is coming up so they've got something planned for that, and they recently had something for Mother's Day. They also celebrate birthdays. They're in the middle of renovating so they're updating, they're changing out some of the corporate floors to tile floors. But there could be a few more updates to the building. I'm investing in my mother's care, they're there when I can't be and they're providing things that I can't necessarily provide.

We liked that Landmark at Desert Gardens was affordable and the staff seemed friendly and helpful. The reason we didn't go with the Landmark was it seemed old and the rooms were kind of rundown like they weren't kept up. The dining area was clean, big enough, comfortable, and lit up well. They had a garden area and an outdoor patio.

I toured Landmark at Desert Gardens for my mom. The community is okay. I'm working with a couple of ladies that are very helpful and very informative. They're going out of their way to make sure that I have my paperwork in order. It's a very friendly place. The rooms are adequate and roomy, and the place looks pretty well kept. I know they have the bus where they can take the ones that are able to go get out to town. They also have games and a common area where they can get together. They have a patio and a little pond with fish. They take care of their people. Their dining area is very clean, very pretty, and very bright. The building itself is an old hotel but it's roomy, clean, and well-kept.

The Landmark at Desert Gardens was very homey, very friendly, and very welcoming. They have three meals a day and snacks. They are doing some remodeling right now. It was very clean. It was more like visiting a very nice hotel versus a senior living place. There wasn't that smell you get when you go into a nursing home. It was just more like a little community. The staff was so wonderful. We did not try the food, but it smelled wonderful.

Interaction with the staff is good especially the director they listen and seem to be very kind and caring. They have recently added flooring because the carpet was old and worn it has been a nice touch. Sunday bingo was always a favorite but it has stopped since COVID.Transport services two local healthcare facilities dentist Doctors Hospital are available during the week

Building is horrible and smells. Super old and there were cigarettes all over the courtyard. One resident said the food was cold. Supervisor never called back to follow up. Rooms had holes in wall and carpets were dirty. I did not see a staff member when visiting.

Rooms are large enough to feel like home and assistance is available at all times. Staff is very accommodating when any kind of problem arises. Robert B. is a long time friend and family member and has lived there over a year now and we are very satisfied.

Landmark at Desert Gardens is a three-story facility with elevators because it used to be an old Holiday Inn. I thought it was really too big, it kind of smelled, and it was outdated. The rooms were fairly large, but they were outdated and the carpets smelled. It was old and dark.

Landmark at Desert Gardens is good so far. The rooms are nice and clean, the food is good, and they have good nurses. They also have a garden outside and activities, although we haven't been involved yet. I'd say the price is average. Therapy is done by an outside therapy company, and they come in and do it for whoever needs it.

My sisters and I are very satisfied with Landmark Desert Gardens because the rooms are very large accommodating a bedroom and small sitting room. My Dad calls it his apartment. The people are very friendly and keep the facility very clean and decorated beautifully. The garden is very spacious and relaxing for everyone. There is always something going on for everyone to enjoy.

I was not really pleased with Landmark at Desert Gardens during my visit. The staff seemed pretty good, but I was just not thrilled with the building. They showed me one room, and it was just empty, like a motel room. The building is an old motel, so it's very small and has a smell to it.

Thank you so much for your feedback about your visit to Desert Gardens. Yes, this is a very old historic landmark building, built in the 1960's, when Downtown Hobbs was the heart of the city. Many of our residents remember coming here for conferences and dances in our club room. (and we still have big parties, educational seminars and dances here!) Older buildings have challenges and also charm. I am sorry you saw an empty room when you came to visit. Many of our residents have beautifully furnished rooms. Perhaps our model room was occupied by a guest visitor. I am Lynn Berry, the administrator at Landmark at Desert Gardens, and I believe that an old building has charm, and that it can also smell and look lovely! I have partnered with a local furniture company, and I am setting up a new model room that will reflect the charm and ambiance of living in a historic building. We have a wonderful caring team, and amazing elders, who are living with vibrancy and continuing to learn every day! We are thrilled about our new #Gen2000 program where young people are teaching elders to connect with their families through Face-time or SKYPE. You may see some of our residents in our lobby on an iPad with earphones watching YouTube videos. Our young people are also benefiting from the wisdom of the elders. Many elders have given us the gift of their recorded stories that we have preserved for their families, and some stories are posted on our website. I welcome you to come back and talk with me, and join me for for a meal. I would love to learn more about you, and what your needs are for assisted living, and hear what else you have to say. Thank you again for your feedback. I truly appreciate it! Warmly, Lynn Berry, Administrator.

I visited Desert Gardens. The staff treated the residents well and with respect. As it was an old facility and they had just been bought by another company, they were undergoing renovation.

I am a resident of five years having lost my husband to lung cancer and the final decision was the resuly of a fall that broke my left femur and tibia. I remain here because of the convenience as well as satisfaction with the service and that I am now acquainted with the other residents. We are much like a family. Our director and his staff care about us and attempt to give us needed service as well as understanding we who are many years their senior. We are safe and secure.
