I visited this facility

I didn't like anything about The Bridge of Farmington. It was very dark and depressing. They need to improve their lighting and provide more outside activities. The staff who toured me around was just a little pushy. Everything was outdated. The courtyard was extremely small and you wouldn't be able to take your dog out there. I don't recall seeing a gym and I don't recall seeing a salon, but it seemed like the place was maintained well. It was located near restaurants and a hospital.

I am/was a resident of this facility

On numerous occasions the staff misrepresented information concerning the amount my dad's room and care would be. They seemed to only care about closing the sale knowing upfront that they would increase my dad's monthly rate by $500 within the first month. Some friends had warned me that the Bridge in Farmington would do this to us but I gave the Bridge the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately, our friends were correct. When we were checking my dad out, the office manager told us over the phone that they would reimburse us for a prorated portion of the rest of the month only to change their story tell us that we actually owed them money! Seriously, the worse ran business I've ever encountered!

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My mom is staying at The Bridge. They provide all her needs. They take care of her 24/7. Even when she doesn't want to do anything, they try and get her to do physical therapy, but they also give her freedom to choose activities. They schedule appointments. They also do hair. They provide activities that you can take advantage of. The residents have access to transportation. They're able to get out to do the shopping or to pick up things, or they can do it for them. They do a very nice job of keeping everything clean, and they have to assist my mom with all the bathing and showers. They pay attention to the people there, and they try to make it as comfortable they can. They have some activities that keep everybody out and talking to each other, so it's a good social thing.
