I visited this facility

Lantern Hill was very beautiful and nice, but very expensive. It was very nice for independent living. You have your own apartment. They had lots of good amenities there. They had physical therapy and a lot of activities for seniors. I met a couple of people that had been there for a while, and they just loved it there. The apartments are very nice. They have a one-bedroom and a two-bedroom apartment. I saw the one bedroom that had a bath. They also had a guest bathroom, which was closer to the living area. They had an open kitchen area with a bar and a dining room with tables and chairs for people. The staff was very nice and accommodating. I was in a wheelchair, and she was very patient to make me wheel around and go in the elevator and take us to see the different areas. The food was good. They have a few different restaurants. There is a guard outside, and they have a large parking area.

I visited this facility

I went to Lantern Hill. It's gorgeous, their apartments are just beautiful. They don't have a studio, they're very expensive, but they are really beautiful. The staff took me on a tour of the independent living, and if I'm not mistaken, it was a two-bedroom apartment. They have gyms, they have everything you need. The staff was so nice. You could eat off the floors there. They have a beautiful dining room.

We toured Lantern Hill Senior Living Community. It's a very nice facility, kind of almost like a topnotch one, at least from what we could tell. It seemed to be pretty well run and had some very attractive things that were of interest. We're just trying to decide what we can afford. My wife will eventually need memory care, and that's always very expensive regardless of where you go. You buy, basically a kind of a condo, and they have support staff there 24/7, like most places. They have a pool, they have gymnasium, and you get all your meals. You have access to medical facilities, so they are pretty much all around what you would expect from a senior living facility. It's a very nice place for sure. I think they're pretty topnotch. The only downside is you have to buy a facility, and some of those are not terribly cheap. The deal is after you've passed, your heirs can sell it, and get ninety percent of your investment back, so that was kind of an attractive thing. It's kind of like selling your house and buying another house. The staff were pretty good, but they're salespeople. They knew all about what was going on. They were very good, very competent, they answered all my questions. They're run by Erickson Senior Living, and one time they went bankrupt ten years ago. I think about what they have in place that presumably would prevent that. I guess every place has a plan, and I forget what it was called, a plan about how to handle that situation, so they they're pretty well prepared for those kinds of questions. I saw the staff around a lot and they seem to have control of the facilities. I thought their facility was excellent and was pretty new, so it had to be excellent. They did offer food, but because my wife has some dementia and scoliosis, she can't walk very well, so we decided we didn't want to go for lunch. They asked us to come later, and then they gave us a private tour.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Apartments are lovely. Meals are throw backs, heavy with meat & ignorant of plant based foods. They even have veal, long shunned, on menus.

The facility is very nice and the people are pleasant, but they need to staff the memory care area better. On several occasions, memory care patients have tried to enter my friend’s room uninvited. This is troubling. The rooms are nice and the food is good.

Lantern Hill was very nice and new. They have trips to different places for the residents, they play bridge and other intellectual things. Most important of all, the food was good. Everything about this community was nice.
