The Farmstead at Medford is my favorite. That whole building is independent living. It's set in a rural setting, and it has walking paths, and the town of Medford is not far away. The building itself is new. It has spacious rooms to sit in, and it's three floors high. However, the apartment that I looked at, which is a thousand dollars more than the other place, is also a lot smaller. It's a one-bedroom. They have a movie theater, an exercise room, a room for exercise classes, a bar, and a nice dining area that's all glass on the back of the building. They have a physical therapy room and an arts and crafts room. The ceiling is really high. It's next to open spaces. The staff was wonderful. I see online they are rated as 5, and I agree with that. Another thing I don't like about it is that you have to buy into their meal plan. I'm not an early morning person, so breakfast is out of the question for me, and I'd be paying for it. The food was very good, though.

I moved into The Farmstead at Medford. It's smaller, but when I went to the other place, it was overwhelming, too many people. I have a dishwasher, an oven, and a refrigerator. I have a washer and dryer in my room and a closet. I love it. They include three meals a day. They invited my whole family to join us for dinner. The food is very good. They have games, bingo, and a gym.
