Prairie Village Retirement Center is a very nice place. It's clean. It's very good information. The lady did a really good job. She took me around, and she showed me the rooms and what they were and what the deal was. She showed me the whole place. It's all on one level. It isn't upstairs or downstairs. I observed everything. I observed the dining room, the whole apartment, the kitchen, and what they offered. She also gave me a menu of what they serve. They were very thorough.

I thought that Prairie Village Retirement Center was pretty good. We got lunch there and it was good. That alone put it ahead of the other place we toured. The staff who gave the tour was very nice. The place was well maintained. The person who led the tour showed us everything we wanted to see, and the place was less expensive. One thing to note is that there's no aging in place at Prairie Village. The food we had was hot. We didn't eat in the dining room, so they gave us to-go containers; we took them home and ate. It seems there's more daylight in the rooms and I like that.

Prairie Village Retirement Center was clean. They only had three levels of care. They had different levels of apartments. There were apartments where you just stayed and ate your meals there. There was another wing where nursing care was available and I thought this was good. My mom liked that they had individual doors to the outside with each apartment. She also knew most of the residents who stayed there. It was a very good facility but the facility had more services.
