Good Shepherd Lutheran Community provides a very pleasant and well-trained and well-experienced staff who are all about the personal care of their residents. From the first time I entered the facility to visit my grandmother, the staff were always asking the residents if they are in need and always checking up on their health conditions. The truth is that these facilities must deal with a wide variety of different conditions or diagnoses and medical problems, and it was quite obvious that the staff there were very knowledgeable about their residents. As for the decor and feeling of the home, there is plenty of free space for everyone to do their daily activities, all in very nice and clean rooms. The staff also were very involved in the residents' activities which created a positive atmosphere and attitude about the home.

Good Shepherd Lutheran Home is an older place. Frankly, it was a little overcrowded when we visited. Rooms were small, not very much space for personal effects. We had one of the admin folks come in and show us around. She was very pleasant, and she answered all our questions. We really didn't see any activities, but they had a community area up in the middle. There were a few people out there, but mainly they were sitting and talking. The dining area was also the community area, but it was kept clean.
