Holiday the Lodge at White Bear was very nice, but the one-bedroom is too small, and the two-bedrooms I think were over $2,000, which is more than my budget can afford. The staff was very personable, more than willing to show me other apartments, and very accommodating. It looked very professional and very clean.

We moved into Holiday The Lodge At White Bear. Everything's going pretty good. The staff is very, very good. The food is good. They serve three meals a day. They have bingo. The room size is okay, average.

The Holiday The Lodge at White Bear was a nice building as well. It had a nice huge apartment with a huge deck. It would have been high on the list as well. The apartment might have been a little bit smaller there, but it had a separate bedroom, a full kitchen, and a bathroom. The one particular unit I looked at had this huge deck wrapped around the corner unit, so it had a wraparound deck. You could look down into an area where they had outdoor seating and stuff. It was a very nice location as well. The dining room was beautiful.

Holiday The Lodge At White Bear was an old community but I liked it. It was bigger and a little roomier, and the price was a little bit lower than the other place. And I liked that they offered a little bit more room in the rooms. I was very pleased with it. The staff who toured us was kind of in a hurry, and she was a little bit late, but it was around lunch and everything. However, she was a pleasant lady. It was a nice place.

Holiday The Lodge at White Bear was OK. The only drawback for me personally was they didn't give me the option because I just wanted to rent short-term. They included three meals in the leasing charges, and that did not sit well with me. I didn't have the option to decline to eat the meals there. The staff was pretty friendly. The area is a little bit congested right behind the shopping strip. If I was to live in an independent living, I would like to see a little more nature rather than a shopping mall around. Compared to a few others that I have seen and inquired about, the base lease rental was a little bit high for the square footage.

I toured Holiday The Lodge at White Bear. It was all-inclusive. The facility was nice, and I liked it. They had planned meals for the residents. They had events. I walked in when they were doing an acoustic set and there were residents around. The person who showed me around was very kind. We went up the stairs, but there was an elevator. She showed me the laundry area. She explained a lot about the property. She explained what the property can do for my mother. It had a great view. It was a great layout. Their dining area was like a ballroom dining area, with flush chairs and wooden tables. It was more like an upscale restaurant-type seating area, which was nice. It had plenty of natural light. I did take a peek at their menu and it looked pretty good, too. I did see workers around doing their thing and residents engaging with them.

Holiday The Lodge At White Bear seemed nice. The dining room and everything looked very clean and also nice. The rent includes three meals a day, laundry, and light housekeeping. So, that would be a benefit. The gentleman that gave me the tour was very nice, knowledgeable, and seemed excited about his job. I had a very positive impression of him. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It just felt very much like a nursing home as opposed to an apartment sort of situation. I want my mom to feel more like she's living in an apartment as opposed to a nursing home. Also, the unit that they showed me was specifically smaller than what I was looking for and I'm looking for a place that doesn't have as much carpeting as the unit that they showed me.

We saw Holiday, The Lodge at White Bear. It seemed nice. The rooms seemed nice sized. They had little kitchenettes. If the rooms were on the main floor, they had patios or if they were on an upper level, they all had like small decks. They were more like apartments. They had a movie area, a salon, a gym, a game room, and a library area. The staff seemed very nice. The main person wasn't there, so the guy that toured us wasn't used to doing tours, but he was very helpful in showing us the rooms and what they had to offer. It seemed like the upkeep was very nice. They had beautiful grounds with lots of sidewalks for walking. If people can walk okay, they have a grocery store within walking distance, which is a nice advantage there. There are a few restaurants and a drugstore that are all within a short distance.

I went to Holiday The Lodge At White Bear. A friend came with me. We had a very nice girl tour us. The price was really high; it was over $3,000 a month. It included three meals a day, and you don't have an option to just do one meal a day. You have to take all three meals a day, so it's a good choice for somebody that's not going to cook at all. I'm 68, and I think most of the residents were in their 80's because many of them had walkers. I didn't see too many wheelchair-bound people, but a lot of people with walkers. The apartments were very, very small. The grounds were kept up really nice. You have to go down the hall to do the wash, and I think it was coin operated. There's a plan where you can add on housekeeping, which includes cleaning the apartment. It does not include deep cleaning of where you soiled things. They have a laundry service, but that's on a different plan where they do your laundry once a week. The really nice thing is when you walk in there. The dining room is really full of light and really nice. It's right off of the main area. However, the rooms are very, very small. I would feel uncomfortable in that setting because the rooms are so small. You get this really small refrigerator, and it's not frost-free. You'd be dealing with a freezer that had to be defrosted. Most refrigerators and the freezers are frost-free, so you don't have a buildup of ice, but they didn't have that. They had a microwave, but I don't believe they had a stove. The lady that showed us around was wonderful. She knew everything and was knowledgeable. She introduced me to the main director there, and she was able to see us. She was very good at giving the tour. They weren't pushy. They were very, very nice. They explained everything and how it works. They answered any questions that we had. They were excellent. The staff was very good. The facility looked very clean. Everything looked very clean and kept up very well. The apartments were nice. They had a nice carpet, except in the kitchenette. It isn't intended for people to eat there because they have three-meals a day. The dining room was wonderful. They had a large activity area. I think they had a schedule playing bingo or doing this or that. They have a van that takes residents to different places. They had a map of where they went as far shopping, so that was good.

I went to look at Holiday The Lodge At White Bear. The people were nice and polite. The place seemed run down. The place where you sit was dirty, and the carpet was kind of ragged. They had a microwave and a small refrigerator in the room. The staff was very nice, pleasant, smiling, and informative. They had a walking area. There was grass in the back.

Holiday The Lodge at White Bear was nice and clean. They had a very nice dining room, and all the meals were included. They had activities. They each had their own deck, so they could sit outside. The grounds were beautiful. They had a lot going, and there's a lot of services. I saw a studio and a one-bedroom. They had a microwave, a smaller freezer, a refrigerator, and a lot of closet space. The shower was a handicapped setup. The staff was very knowledgeable, very nice, and easy to talk to. They said we could come back and have lunch if we wanted to. They were very kind. I liked it.

I had an in-person tour of The Lodge At White Bear. It was one that I liked the best. The staff was knowledgeable, gracious, and a pleasant person. I had a sample of one lunch item, and it was good. I liked the hard flooring. They had either a kitchenette or kitchen area where you could prepare your own meals. The outside was kind of a rustic but scenic area. There were some shops around like a dollar store and fast-food places.

My mother is moving into The Lodge At White Bear. It is a very friendly, welcoming community with several activities, fresh homemade meals several times a day, including snacks, and a beautiful external walkway with parks and ponds. The general manager and the activities director are amazing people, just very, very welcoming, which is why we chose it. We tried the food, we had lunch there, and we ate in the dining area. The dining area is a wide-open space with a fireplace, probably 20 or 30 round tables that seat three people, socially distanced, five to six people comfortably. The activities director, the transportation supervisors, all help serve the food. So the people who are serving the food are the staff, so the people know them very well, including the kitchen staff. It was very well done, very organized. It's like sitting down in a restaurant, and you get a menu put in front of you. There is beef, chicken, vegan, and then always one other option to eat. And they always have a daily menu. So if you don't like anything, and you just want a cup of soup every single day, you can come in and have that cup of soup. It's very flexible and very well done. She is in the main floor apartment, one-bedroom, one bath, living area. The kitchen is a kitchenette, which means there's no oven because all of the meals are catered in the dining room, including snacks from seven a.m. to seven p.m. and then coffee, tea, hot water are 24/7 for any of the residents and the level one apartment has a walkout patio. It has an exterior door and it has a very large patio in an L-shape, which bumps up against the Park Reserve, and the walking trails that walk to the pond. So very, very beautiful, very serene. They publish an activity sheet bi-weekly. And what I recall was bingo, four days a week. They also had painting activities, sudoku, and the rent of the apartment includes transportation. They'll take you grocery shopping, they'll take you to your medical appointment. They just had lunch at the Bierstube. Included in the activities is a commercial kitchen since all the apartments have kitchenettes. So if somebody wants to bake cookies or somebody wants a pizza or bake a pie, they go to the activity center and they can use the commercial kitchen to bake what they want. They have a salon. They have a theater. They have a chapel. They have a game room and a workout room. Small, but a workout room with a couple of treadmills and some bikes. It is an older building. So, in her apartment, the walls have some chips in them, and they have some peeling paint, but all new carpet, all new flooring, really, really nice. The maintenance manager, I've spoken to her several times about some things I want. Not that they were wrong, but they're very, very flexible for an aging older adult. What do you need? Do you need a handrail to pull yourself here to the shower, to pull yourself here in the bathroom? So very, very flexible. The exterior maintenance of the buildings is very nice. Beautiful, beautiful grounds.

I went to The Lodge At White Bear. They seemed a little less geared toward giving tours. I think the activities director was my tour director. She did a nice job. It was a larger facility, larger than the other place I went to. I didn't think it was as clean. It wasn't dirty, but you see stuff on the wall. I know they have a two bedroom and a one bedroom, and they might have a studio. I saw all of them, and they're very spacious. You have a nice view looking out the window. They have a full size refrigerator. I saw the exercise room. There was a library room, a meeting room or TV room, and the backyard is a really nice area. It's green, and there's grass and trees. You could go and walk or have picnics or something. The director was very nice. She was polite. She seemed to know the place well. Because she's the activities director, she interacts with people a lot, which is good.

The Lodge At White Bear was excellent. Everybody was really nice and friendly. The place was clean and the food service was good. They had nice recreation, transportation available, games to play, and a little library. The only thing I didn't like was you have to go down and get your food. They have to keep a schedule of some type, and sometimes these elderly people find it hard to get on a schedule, like they might not want to eat at 12:00, but the cleanliness, friendliness, and the security part of it were the three major things that we were looking at.

I visited The Lodge at White Bear and it was a little bit too expensive for us. It's an independent living and it was really nice. The lady was very accommodating and she was nice as she showed us around. It was a nice place, but it's just something that we can't afford right now. They showed us a 1-bedroom and a studio. We liked the 1-bedroom but it was too expensive. I've seen the whole place and they were clean and nicely done. We went outside and she pointed out the walking paths, you could walk around the facility. I was impressed. They told us to come to visit and share, maybe lunch with them, but we just didn't have the time to do that. The people there were nice, very informative, and very accommodating. The lady who toured us told me there were a lot of activities. They have a game room, activity room and there's a library too.

My father is now at The Lodge At White Bear. I love them, they're amazing. I can't say enough good things about those people that work at The Lodge, they're incredible. It's not quite assisted living, but they help with his meds and medical care. The atmosphere is wonderful, it's very nice, and quiet. He has a high-quality room, it's a studio apartment and it's very clean. The atmosphere is great, the people all look so happy, and they have so many activities. They have a beautiful dining room, a fitness center, they're just a great facility. The staff, Julie and Laura, are just amazing. Julie drove for 45 minutes just to help my dad sign his contract because he couldn't access it on his phone. She drove all that way to where he was living to help him because he was just basically going to be homeless. They coordinate with me, and I talk to them almost every day because he has medical conditions. We're paying about $1850 for his studio apartment. He's getting three meals a day, he's doing activities, he gets his haircut and foot pedicures. So he's absolutely, incredibly happy. I have not tried the food but it looks good.

The biggest thing we liked about The Lodge At White Bear was the location. It's in a beautiful setting. It feels like you're right out in the middle of the country, but you're close to anything you might need. They only have a kitchenette. So, if you're a person who likes to cook, it might not be the best choice for you, but they have a community kitchen that can be used. For us, it's pretty much perfect. It's got the level of care where you can 'age in place'. So, you're independent, but you can stay in the same apartment and you can have services as needed, which works well for us because my husband has some health issues and I want to be able to live with him. They were very helpful people. They gave us all the information we needed to be able to figure out our budget and everything. The place was very clean too, and they have some good COVID protocols in place. It has an atrium, so it feels very bright and open. I think the lady said they had about 90 to 100 residents, which is just about the size we were looking for. We didn't want something too large.

The Lodge at White Bear is a very nice place, and the person leading the tour was very knowledgeable and answered our questions. We asked about assisted living and they explained what they do, they do have someone, or people available for assisted living. They were pretty much outstanding, but it was a concern for us that they didn't have assisted living. The staff presented everything concerning the facility.

The Lodge at White Bear had everything we needed. The staff was very pleasant; we saw the 2-bedroom and it was nice with lots of sunny windows. It had a deck with trees around. The outside grounds were the nice part. I only met the lady at the desk, and that was it. The facility was clean, laundry was free, and they had a nice walking path outside. It's nice, it's the best one we saw; it's just that we can't go now. It's not just all independent living; they have different types of levels there.

We toured The Lodge At White Bear, and we're going back tomorrow morning. My dad likes the place, so we are just going back to look at a couple of different apartments. The facility was very nice. We had lunch there, and the food was good. The staff member who gave us the tour was very thorough, and we met the RN who was very nice, too. I liked the brightness, the windows, and how open it was. The dining room area was very clean, the apartments were nice, and of good size. My dad has a nurse from the VA that comes twice a week. He will have his own apartment, but he can add on services, and we'll still continue the VA care. Plus they have a VA doctor that comes up there, so we may switch to that doctor from the VA, and he might not have to travel to the Minneapolis VA as often, which would be nice. They have a craft area where they can do different things, and if they want to cook for the group, they can do that too. There's games, pool tables, and card games. After the cold settles down they probably will bring back entertainment, and there's a walking path that comes up to the White Bear Trails, so there are lots of things to keep you busy if you want to be.

We visited The Lodge at White Bear a year ago. It was pretty good, but I had a concern there about a big stain in the carpet when we were touring. When I asked them about it, they said "Oh, we just haven't gotten to clean it up yet." It looked terrible. If you're gonna let someone tour, you gotta clean it up. So it left a bad taste in my mouth. The staff was very nice, they gave us a meal and it was good. The facilities were fine, the room was fine though not well kept, I don't think.

My sister is at The Lodge at White Bear. So far, I'm very happy. My sister looked up some different stuff, and that's the one that came up, and I think probably the best. It was very easy access from the freeway. They had immediate openings, and that made a real big difference to me because there was nowhere to send her. So far, I'm very happy with the staff. The room is very nice and she's already met some of the neighbors, and she's just very happy. One of the biggest things is that she was able to have her cat. Considering it's an efficiency, it is good-sized. Activities are great. She said she very much likes the food. Everybody just seems very nice. She's very happy there, and that was my main concern. The atmosphere is very adequate. I have not tasted any meals there, but since she's been there I have been there every day for at least a couple of hours. Everything has been very good. I don't know enough about the place yet to really say anything negative. She hasn't been involved in any of the activities because she's on a seven-day quarantine.

I didn't like The Lodge At White Bear. It was excellent except I could smell smoke in the hallways, and that turned me off, and I didn't want to go there. That was really the downer. Otherwise, I thought the facility was very nice. The kitchen was very nice. They had a room that I would be interested in because it had a separate entrance. You could easily walk over to the window and you could talk to the individual without having to go into the building or go around it. It was very nice. It would have been my other choice except for the smoke.

I did tour the Lodge of White Bear, which we really liked a lot, but I think they won't accept the Elderly Waiver or the Aid and Attendance, so we're kind of out of luck there. We were looking for independent living there but they do have doctors and nurses that are onsite that will come to you. They have meal prepping three times a day and the housekeeping that comes to clean. The services that they have, like the housekeeping for instance, they have a contract with somebody who comes in their building and cleans. It's not their employees that clean. The staff was very, very nice, and amazing. I think it was Antonio and the other one was Damon, they were both absolutely amazing and great down-to-earth people. The rooms there, they're like efficiency rooms with a bathroom. They're very small. They would work, but for a little over $2,000 that they were charging, I thought they were a little more than I would have thought considering how small the space was. Right now that they're in COVID, the activities are kind of minimal. The place was beautiful, it was open, it was spacious, and it was bright. We had lunch there as well; it was a very nice, beautiful lunch. The dining area was very nice as well. The food was amazing and so was the dessert.

My mother lives at the place, we are in the process of finding another place! The food before the lock down was bad no taste and no real option for a heart healthy diet, now with the lock down the meals are extremely limited and half the size then before! The garbage stacks up in the laundry room for days and smells so bad you can hardly stand it when walking off the ONE & ONLY elevator! When the elevator breaks down, residents who can not take the stairwells are stranded on their floors, they elevator is small and when residents have walkers and scooters only a few(3-4)max can fit. DO NOT send a love one to this place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback on our community. Due to protocols put into place to ensure the safety of our residents, we have had to make shifts within our dining experience. Our team has worked hard to deliver 3 chef-prepared meals daily directly to the doors of our residents. We would like the opportunity to discuss your concerns further with you. Please feel free to reach out to the local team directly, they would be happy to speak with you about our current protocols and what we can do to help. Thank you

The Lodge At White Bear is not really what I was looking for, I would call it more like dependent living. Their brochure says you get a full kitchen, but when I look at the rooms there's no refrigerator, and they said that they call it a snack kitchen. You can't cook your own meals, you'd have to take your meals in their dining room. If you have a need to go out and go to groups, they provide activities. When I got to the community, nobody was around. I went to the office and nobody was around even after I waited at the lobby. I saw a man at an office who asked if he could help me and I said I have an appointment. It's located on a major road but kind of tucked back. It's a few miles from a lot of things that you need, because with lots of woods around it, so it's more of a country setting. It's really nice that way. It's a really nice place, if you want to put your father there because men generally don't cook, it would be a great place. It just needs some minor sprucing up, it needs some paint and new carpets where it's worn and things like that. They call it independent living but I wouldn't consider it that.

The Lodge At White Bear was not for me. The apartments were clean, but not spacious. I was quite surprised that I did not see people out and about when I was there. I saw one table of four ladies playing Bridge, two ladies doing a puzzle, and one lady by the fireplace reading. I was not impressed with the activities, but we were there on a Saturday, so that might not be a fair assumption. They have two machines in the exercise room and it was very small. I was very disappointed. The one-bedroom doesn't even have a stove in there, so I couldn't cook my own meals. They want you to eat all three meals there. The lady I talked to was fine.

I will be moving into The Lodge At White Bear as soon as I sell my house. It is really fantastic and in the safe part of the city. There's a gorgeous pond in the back. They have a la carte care with everything you could want there all the time. I like the management, and they have a full staff for maintanance. The maintenance guy is on-call 24 hours in case there is water leak or whatever. They have great food twice a day and snacks all day long if you want it. The price is right. I have a beautiful room with a balcony, which I really like. I'm looking forward to moving in. Every morning they have aerobics, and there are about three or four people who play the piano. At any given time, they're up and singing or playing the piano. They have a lot to offer.

We looked at the Lodge at White Bear. The staff lady was very helpful. She showed us around, and the place was nice. In fact if my sister would have been able to get into it, this was the one she really wanted, but she wasn’t able to get the financing for it through the VA for her husband. We toured through and saw the beauty salon, the dining room, and she showed us the apartments. I myself was very impressed their dining area. It looked very elegant and very nice. I was very impressed with the place. The lady came and picked us up so we could go on a tour, but she was the only staff member I met. The place was very clean and organized.

The Lodge at White Bear was a lovely place, but it was around $5,000 a month, and we don’t have that kind of money. The rooms were very clean, and they were about to start redecorating. One thing that struck me was that I could not see how you could possibly have two wheelchairs pass each other in the hallway. The residents were friendly and talkative.

The Lodge at White Bear was a wonderful facility. It was not suited for my mother-in-law because she needed more medical assistance and that is not what this residence is about. The dining rooms were lovely, the residents seemed to be very happy, and the person who led us through the information was very well qualified. I was very happy with it, but it was not what was needed for my mother-in-law, who is now in a skilled nursing home. We were there in-between meals, so breakfast was finished, and they were just beginning to set up for lunch. The tables were beautifully set, and there were at least two options for lunch. I am assuming there was two options for the other two meals of the day as well.

We selected The Lodge for mother, and she moved in last December. Her room was clean, and the food was good, and of restaurant standard. The price was similar to the others. The staff was fine.

I thought the Lodge was very nice and very large. It was a very lovely place. The rooms were very lovely, as well as the grounds. It's picturesque with a lovely park. The staff was very pleasant.

I toured The Lodge At White Bear. It was very nice. I have one leg, so I'm not really able to get around, but I did sign something with them to tentatively take over, but my family decided that it was too far away. I told them that I was not going to come there, but since I signed something, they walked off with $4300 even though I had never spent one single day there. I don't really have much good to say about the place and how they behaved. The Lodge At White Bear looked like a nice place. I like everything about it. I would like to have been there, but it is really beyond my capabilities. The part that I looked at, I wouldn't be able to take care of myself well enough. I need something that has more care facilities, but they had good meals. They had many activities that they had scheduled, and it looked very good. I was very excited about being able to live there, but things didn't turn out right, and the little episode had so far cost me $4300.

The Lodge at White Bear is just great and has things to do. The food is fantastic. They have movie nights on Saturday nights and bingo on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. There is always something there for the people to do if they participate. My room is a studio. It has room for one bed, bathroom, and shower, and a microwave or sink and cupboard space. The price of the studio is kind of high.

We did not care for The Lodge at White Bear. The difference between this place and the other ones I visited was they didn't seem to know their residents. It didn't feel like home, and the hallways smelled of smoke because they allow residents to smoke in their apartments if they are so inclined. It seemed ludicrous for a senior living. The grounds were OK, and they say they were going through some remodeling at that time. There were several community rooms that were unusable because of the remodeling. This place felt more like a nursing home.

Provider Response

The Lodge at White Bear was nice, but wasn’t really what we wanted. The other people that we met were basically friendly, and it was a lovely community, but it just doesn’t feel good.

The apartments at The Lodge At White Bear didn't have kitchens because they wanted the residents to have their meals in the dining room. We saw one apartment that was very nice with a very nice view, but there were smaller ones too.

The Lodge at White Bear was a very nice, larger community that had such a variety of people and activities. I was very impressed with them. It was our first choice for our mom, but our brother wanted her to stay in the town that he was living in. The dining room was very nice. We were there when the Super Bowl was going on, and they had a party. They also had cooking classes and take the residents to the local casino once a month or out in the neighborhood. A group of them would go to a local grade school and volunteer to work with students once a week.

I visited and liked The Lodge at White Bear. The staff member who took me around was very friendly and very cooperative. She even called me and followed up on a few things. They had a beautiful spot behind the facility with walking trails, a nice pond, and a good view. They also had an exercise room and a beauty shop, and a nice dining room. However, their rooms were not the nicest I've seen.

The Lodge was very nice. The staff was very good. We had lunch there, and the food was okay. They served three meals a day, but I guess it’s kind of institutional. The rooms, and apartments are very nice. One was an efficiency apartment which was too small for me. However, the one-bedroom was lovely. It was very nice, and large. They have lots of activities, they have Bridge, cards on certain days, they have an exercise room, and a library.

We picked The Lodge At White Bear for my parents. When we first went there, the staff and dining facility were very nice. It was a very nice facility but out of our price range at that time. They waived their community fee, waived the second person’s fee for the life of the lease, and took $600 off the rent each month for the life of the lease, so we moved my parents in there at the beginning of December. They like it there a lot. The food is awesome. They have a barbershop where my dad got his hair cut the other day and liked it. They have a little fitness room, too. So far, my parents really enjoy this community. It has been good for both of them.

I had a very positive experience at The Lodge at White Bear. The staff was extremely helpful. The rooms and apartments were very clean. They had a variety of different sizes. The dining area looked very spacious and very welcoming. They would take people out to a restaurant once a week. They had a community room, an exercise room, a library, and a walking path. I was very impressed.

It's very clean, and they're very caring. We are very happy with The Lodge at White Bear. I have eaten there several times, and their food is awesome. They have a variety everyday. The grounds are beautiful with a lot of flowers, and there's a lake overviewing the apartments that they're in. It's very pretty. My mother just went on a pontoon ride out on a lake. They have casino nights, bingo nights, music, and all kinds of entertainment that they have for the people that live there, and there are a lot of outings. The staff is very friendly too.

We visited The Lodge At White Bear. They were very friendly. I like the way the building was set up. I like that they have hairstyling and a nurse onsite everyday. The only thing is that they don't have memory care. Nevertheless, they do go on day trips. They also have puzzles, crafts, and sewing, which I thought my mom might get into. The staff was extremely friendly, and they answered every question I had. I even called back there and talked to them again, so yeah, I really like the people that showed me around and everything.

Mom is in The Lodge at White Bear Lake. The room that she has is an efficiency apartment. It is perfect for her. She has a little patio, a little refrigerator, and a lot of closet space, and it is very nice. The staff is very awesome and very helpful. They have programs that go on everyday for the residents that they can sign in. They have three meals a day that they provide down in a beautiful dining room for them. They have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They have snacks and free laundry. They have a beauty shop on site and a chapel, and we really like it. As far as I can tell, the maintenance and up keeping of the place is very good.

I was able to visit The Lodge at White Bear, and it was awesome. Everything looked really nice, and it would have been a great facility. I would choose it if I needed a place. They have nice rooms as well as a nice dining room. They have extra common spaces. The community space was really nice, and the staff was really pleasant. It looked like they serve really nice food. They have typical library room, they play cards, and they go out to places.

Although I wasn't there for too long, I enjoyed my visit at The Lodge at White Bear. The staff were pretty accommodating and friendly, and they were really nice. We had chicken, broccoli and rice, and dessert for lunch, and the food was good. They made sure you had what you wanted to eat and drink. The chairs in the dining area were comfortable enough. They showed me a studio apartment, and it looked pretty good. The only thing I noticed was that they did not have an oven, although I didn't know if that was needed since you ate downstairs all the time. However, they did have a microwave in the apartment. They had an open room, which was airy, and the apartments were light-colored. When we went there, they had gambling. There was a gambling table, and people played card games, and it was interesting. Overall, I liked the atmosphere, and I loved it there.

The Lodge does not have a full kitchen, just a microwave or something like that, but they give you 3 meals a day. The staff was real nice, friendly, and informative. It was clean and nicely decorated. They had a lot of recreation and a lot of events. They call me when they have stuff and ask if I want to come.

The Lodge at White Bear is a nice place. The people and everybody are nice, but it wasn’t my cup of tea. The dining room was nice, but I didn’t eat there. They do have activities and musicians coming in. Most of the residents looked happy; it would be a nice place to live.

The Lodge is a little bit too much. They offer meals but I don't care to have that, I like to do my own cooking. The food looked very good though. I thought it was a wonderful place but it wasn't the one I was looking for, I'm a little bit more independent. For what I could afford, it was out of my budget. They showed me the activity book that they have. They have cards, clubs and they have everything else going there, too. The staff seemed excellent, very accommodating. It's very clean and upkept very well. I was very impressed with it.

I was a resident of this facility for a little over one year. It has a great atmosphere, good food, great activities for individuals to participate in. They plan lunch outings and casino visits. The employees are friendly and excellent at their jobs. My room got cleaned every week which included vacuuming, changing the sheets, bathroom cleaning, etc. the grounds are beautiful with walking paths and you can even walk to the local restaurant, drug store, and even a Dairy Queen if you choose not to drive.

The Lodge at White Bear is really for people who want all their meals taken care of for them. It is not really appropriate if you are a little more independent than that. They have no kitchens in their apartments, so you're not allowed to fix your own meals. With regards to staffing, I didn't have much interaction with them but they seemed generally pleasant. It is a good facility but I think they could do better if they have more than one elevator in the building.

We chose The Lodge at White Bear because it was the first one we looked at and we liked it. It is also close to us. It is really a nice-looking facility. They offer three meals a day with light housekeeping and they also have transportation for their residents. We looked at one-bedroom and two-bedroom and we kind of took the middle of the road and my dad was very happy with it. He seems to be very happy and comfortable there. Their staff is very friendly. We run into the lady that led us on the tour a couple of times and she still seems to remember who we are and the same with the managers that are onsite, so it is good that they remember and I don't feel like I'm just somebody that they forget the minute they got my money. I have also eaten there a couple of times and the food is fine. My dad likes it very well. I would very much recommend this facility to others, in fact, a friend of my dad's might end up moving there.
