My mother-in-law moved into Posey's Senior Care Homes. They seemed to be excellent, and everything that they've provided for her, we're very happy with. We couldn't see the room through the window, we only saw the living room, and the kitchen. The food there is very good, very well prepared, and from what we could see in the window, the place looks amazing, very nicely decorated, and very cozy looking. There's like six ladies in the home, and one caregiver for the whole group. They do a wonderful job. I know they do their nails once a week, someone comes in and does their hair every three weeks, they do coloring, bingo, they celebrate birthdays, Valentine's Day, they decorate the home nicely for the holidays. They used to have somebody come in every Tuesday and do crafts with the ladies, and with COVID they can't do that.

I originally became acquainted with Posey Homes when I was looking for placement of my 90 year old Aunt in May 2011. I was so frustrated with the other facilities I had visited and was ready to give up. Pam Bolem at Be Our Guest Adult Day Care in Howell suggested that I check out Posey Homes. As soon as I spoke to Nancy Posey I knew this was the place for my Aunt. My Aunt was very demanding and over-bearing at times....Nancy assured me everything would be fine. Within a couple of weeks of her arrival my Aunt had settled in and was making new friends and enjoying both the attentiveness of the caregivers and friendship of her housemates. Nancy's homes are all welcoming and the home cooked meals are great. My Aunt passed in 2014 and her best friend came to me in 2015 and asked me to help her as she was starting to have difficulty living alone. I knew immediately where I was going to place her when the time arrived. Pat fell and broke her hip in Feb 2019. After leaving the rehab facility in late March, I placed Pat in one of Nancy Posey's homes. Pat was confused, afraid, in a wheel chair and didn't seem to want to try anymore. For nearly 3 weeks she was afraid to stay alone at night. The caregivers would sit with her and hold her hand...sometimes all night long. Once again Nancy assured me they would come through and give Pat the best care available.....fast forward to April 2019 and Pat is enjoying her new friends and caregivers. Maureen, her physical therapist has been wonderful and she is now out of her wheelchair completely and using a rolling walker. She is now comfortable, happy, sleeping through the night and enjoying her new home. All of the apprehension Pat had has disappeared! Thank you for the exceptional care and peace of mind you and your caregivers have given us!

Our aunt is a resident at the Posey home. We moved her from California to Michigan after she broke her hip and her dementia worsened. Nancy, Theresa, and all the staff have been an absolute pleasure to work with. They have been a true blessing to our family. We visit frequently. The home is clean, cozy and welcoming. Home-cooked meals are served, and they smell delicious! The caretakers are always pleasant, friendly, and compassionate. We feel so fortunate to have found the Posey home. I highly recommend Posey's Senior Care Homes!

My mother lived here for over 5 years 2012-2017 and I was there A lot several times a week!! She was treated like a family member by the staff and by Nancy. She was with it mentally but physically she needed a lot of care. Mom was a valedictorian and an avid book reader, she was a home economics teacher for 30 years and was a fantastic cook. She rarely complained about the food but when she did Nancy told her to teach the girls what to do and to pick out recipes she liked and they would make them. Mom wasted no time getting her recipe book over there and sitting at the counter giving instructions. She was asked what she wanted for the shopping list and accommodated much of the time. Nancy told me I could come and go as I pleased (no visiting hours enforced unless you caused trouble) after all this was mom's home. Nancy watched what was going on in that house like a hawk from across the street in her office she could see every car or person that walked in the door and she kept a tight eye on it. Her long term employees (she had several) are top notch. Some of the people working they are saints (its truly a calling to care for the elderly) about 4 years in I decided to take mom home for the summer she stayed with me for 3 months and it was a tremendous amount of work caring for her and she was one person (this home had 12 ladies). At the end of her life mom was delirious she was on a lot of hallucinating medications and she cried a lot and yelled for someone to stay with her. The girls did a great job making her comfortable. They feed her by hand when she could not feed herself, one angel laid in bed with her when she could because mom wanted to be held, another one gave mom her snacks every night and told her stories and put a damp cloth on her head. When hospice came in Nancy was a force to be reckoned with to do whatever it took to keep mom comfortable. The last three days of moms life while she lay in a coma Nancy let me stay there so I could be with mom when she died, she did everything to accommodate me and she told the staff to keep me comfortable too. When my mother in law needed to be cared for full time but did not have the finances for assisted living Nancy guided us through the process of how to get it done. She has been in the business a very long time and she knows how to get things done. Nancy, Theresa and the long term staff here are beautiful people that care about the elderly and they are not just doing a job this is really a calling.I have pictures of mom out on the big golf cart all the ladies had straw hats to wear while on the cart. Nancy always made sure the ladies who wanted to go to the 4th of July ceremony at the bridge did. Honestly the views here are amazing. Nancy keeps rockers on the front porch and maintains a beautiful garden and gazebo the views from the front of this house are breathtaking of the lake and the historic cider mill. But if someone wanted to do something they were accommodated, one lady liked to make jewelry with beads so they put up a permanent work area where she could leave her bead equipment. Nancy had a lot of games, coloring books, and other activities available for people but most had dementia in varying degrees and seemed very content to watch TV or stare out the window at the view (I sat on that couch a lot and liked to stare out the window!). I still go there sometimes to sit on the porch and take in the view, talk to the ladies its a very peaceful and safe place and you do feel like your at home and always welcomed. I have many wonderful memories with my mother and many of the other people that lived there. I cannot thank Nancy, her family and the staff (you know who you are) enough for caring for my mom and mother in law when I could not do it myself.

My aunt has been in Posey's Senior Care Homes since May. She seems to be adapting really well. It?s not a big facility. They have several homes in the community, and those homes house anywhere from 6 to 12 people. Where my aunt is living, there are 6 people, and it?s like a home environment. They know each other, and it?s one on one. When I go there, I don?t only see my aunt; I see the other 5. They?re very sociable. They provide everything they need from a haircut to a podiatrist to meals to distributing medications. It?s all inclusive, and I?m extremely happy with her care. They?re highly rated within the state of Michigan. I think this is a good fit for my aunt right now.

My husband’s aunt is living in Posey's Senior Care. It is like a private house with a few rooms for the individuals that are very nice. The people are very polite and you can tell the care is very good. There are toilets right in their own private rooms and a nice balcony where you can look out at a nice view. She likes the food. They play games among themselves. If they have different interests, they can sit and talk.
