Mom is in Mary Immaculate Health Care Services. The staff is very caring, good, and doing their best to keep all the residents occupied. I feel that she’s given good care. They have little parties for them on Easter and Christmas and bring kids in and animals in on occasion. They have a guy who comes in to sing for them and someone who plays the guitar, plus bingo and a few other things. They also have physical therapy on-site.

Don't look any further; Mary Immaculate Health Care Services is the place to go. It is very clean, and the staff is superb. They are very caring. Everybody is really meant to take care of the people because it is non-profit. They are not looking at numbers; they are looking at people's care. The care plan package stays the same. It might go up annually, but it is a dollar amount that you get all these services for. My husband's aunt did not have a lot of money, and she had some health issues. They have a chapel there if you are religious. The food is very good. They have sing alongs, they have little parties for the holidays, and they have exercise classes. There is also a hair salon there.

My brother tried to find a Catholic place so we were able to come across with Mary Immaculate Health Care Services. Dad is a devoted Catholic and so, he wanted to be in a Catholic place. Right now, he is doing rehab. As far as the staff taking care of my father, I like them a lot. He goes to mass and has a prayer or a rosary group. With their food, I would rate it lower because they serve old-fashion type of food. His room is spacious.

Because my father has an advanced stage of dementia, we go to Mary Immaculate Health Care Services monthly for families that deal with Alzheimer's to learn different techniques about dealing with dementia. What I like about the place was that it didn't smell when you walked in. It had a clean smell. We did see some of the ALF rooms and those were really nice. The dining area was very nice. With regards to food, when we go for meetings, they would put out a very nice spread of food. They always had something for us to eat when we go. They put out all different kinds of cheeses, crackers, and fruit platters. There were refrigerators all over the place for the help and for the patients to use. For activities, they would play games, they have socials for them, etc. They have big game room downstairs.

My aunt who is suffering with Alzheimer's disease has been in Mary Immaculate Health Care Services for approximately 5 years. They are wonderful to her. We visit her at least once a week, sometimes twice and although she does not usually recognize us, the staff certainly does. They tell us about her progress, what she has done throughout the week, what she ate and about her general health and well being. They are very special people who work at MI.The facility is very clean. There are no issues with the bad smells, etc. that we saw at other nursing homes. They offer many projects and activities for the patients each day. They stay well occupied. My aunt gets up, walks and keeps up her physical condition. They try to stimulate her memory, read to her and generally seem to care. My aunt is very lucky to be in such a wonderful nursing home.
