Garden Park is the gold standard in nursing and rehab care. FULL STOP. The rehab therapists are knowledgable, fun and inspirational. The activity department is phenomenal, caring and has so many things to offer. The nursing staff is top drawer and hard working. My aunt’s last few years were so much better than they would have been because she was at Garden Park.

Management Issues

The nurses aides were exceptional and that's where it ends. The management is not responsive to issues and rarely are on the floor to know what is going on.

My mom was discharged from a rehab at Garden Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. They took good care of her, and the staff was very well trained in customer service. They were patient oriented. They were really good. The staff is what makes the facility. It's not the most up-to-date, and it's not the best location. The staff was phenomenal, and really, at the end of the day, that's who delivers the patient care. The food was terrible. My mom went to a Bible study. They took her out to lunch one day. They had bingo. They had stuff for them to do. Between Medicare and her private insurance, they took care of everything except for the private room. We paid extra for the private room, and it definitely was worth it.

My wife has been at Garden Park Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for more than a month now. I think everything is fine. The care that she is receiving is excellent and she's very comfortable. Her room is very nice. It's large, comfortable, and she's in private. The food is good. She tends to eat in her room and she eats most of the food, most of the time. The staff has been very kind and caring too.

My parents have moved into Garden Park. It's in a beautiful setting and has beautiful grounds. We heard almost nothing but good things from my parents about how they're treated. My dad has been there for six weeks and my mom has been there for three weeks now. They are in the same room. My dad is in rehab and my mom has dementia. They do not have memory care specifically, but they have a way of keeping her from leaving the facility. I know that they allow my mom to sit at the desk in the hallway where everybody gathers as it keeps her occupied and my daddy can get a break. We haven't been able to go into the building, but I know that they have PT and they plan activities with my mom. Their room is definitely spacious. They have their own bathroom and they have a fridge, so I think they have pretty good amenities in the room. The staff members have been great. We had a conference call about my dad's care, which I really like, and I'm looking forward to the next one. They have visitations outside where they have a plexiglass protection around them and they do video calls on a tablet. People are really nice to my parents and it means a lot, but when they call from the bathroom, they don't come very quickly. As for value for money, they are on Medicaid.
