The staff at Azria Health Woodhaven was very helpful and tried to help us with the financial part of it and everything. The person who gave us a tour was very nice and very helpful. Some of their facilities were pretty old. They said that they were going to be doing some remodeling, but that was coming later.

I visited this facility not to long ago... I noticed a few things that didn't seem right... I could smell urine.. whether it be from the nicely placed soiled cans by the hall to the dining room, or a passing resident.. Call lights going like crazy, mad dashing aides to answer them.. and hearing them say to other employees how short staffed they are... Can't help but to think what it's like for a resident behind closed doors.. More help, may increase the care to the residents as well as the pride in the employees..

My first impression when I first walked into the facility is that it smelled like urine. While I think that the staff cares about the residents, it seems the are understaffed and the residents done get the attention that I believe they need. If a resident has any special needs, either with diet or rehabilitation exercises, the staff will neglect to meet those needs. The activities there are limited to cards, watching a movie, staring out the window, and occasionally a local volunteer group will visit. I hope that when it is my time to stay in a facility like this that my child will make a better choice than a place like this. I don't want to portray that the place is full of people who do not care. There is a large bird cage in the entrance that some of the resident like. Also, there are the nurses that try their best to meet the needs of the patients. The main thing I would say is wrong with the facility is the lack of staff. If they had 1-2 more nurses per shift it might make a big difference.
