"The staff at Bridgeway of Bensenville were extremely friendly. The room size was nice, and the layout was good. The price was a little bit high, but the place is very nice. They have a common area where people can get together and play cards or socialize. They have meals that can be brought to the room. The grounds are really nice, where people can walk around outside. "We went to Sunrise at Fountain Square. They only showed us the independent rooms, those that were vacant, and they looked fine. The building looked fine. It was very nice, very clean, and very well taken care of. The staff members were very kind. I also met the coordinator for the nursing staff of memory care, who was very knowledgeable."

"The tour I had at American House Oak Park went well. The managers were friendly. The facilities were very nice and clean. They have a lot of offerings. It felt safe. We were looking at the memory care floor. The memory care garden was nice, very welcoming, and warm. They have movies, live music, a bar, and a restaurant on the top floor overlooking a nice view of the city of Chicago."

"Friendly, helpful staff, clean building, with some areas' newly remodel. They should continue to remodel as money is available. Chapel; is beautiful, love the birds in meeting areas. It would be preferred if small pets allowed or have a social service dog. "

"I would say that Belmont Village Senior Living Lincoln Park was the one that we felt most highly about. My relative would likely go there, but it is expensive or he felt it was expensive. We looked at the assisted living. The meals are in the dining room. They have housekeeping, and they have a variety of activities that are organized. They have a studio apartment (which to me seems small), but they also have apartments that have a bedroom and a living room. I liked those much better, but of course those are more expensive."

"What will we do with mom and dad is not a question our kids had to ask. Mom and dad decided what to do with ourselves by moving into The Clare when it opened in 2008. At The Clare there are many new friends, superb leadership in our management team and excellent services offered to residents by a quality staff, from dining, to an array of activities, ongoing maintenance and housekeeping, transportation provided with a car and bus and a security team of EMTs. Our location in downtown Chicago can't be beat with cultural events nearby, easy access to shopping and services the city offers and lovely walks in the neighborhood and along Lake Michigan. And, of course, the long term care plan means peace of mind for our whole family. It was a good decision to come here years ago and continues to be a wise one, today."

"Brookdale Lake Shore Drive was a large facility. It was well landscaped, and it had a very attractive building. It was well kept. The person who showed us around was very knowledgeable and helpful. We saw two apartments, and they were quite adequate in size. "

"Lincolnwood Place looked like a lot of fun. I saw a lot of activities and a lot of personable people. The staff who showed me around was terrific. I hope she stays there for many years. They would provide 2 meals a day, so the third one would be extra. They had some balconies and a nice courtyard."

"My mother has severe Alzheimers and has been residing at the Self Help home for the past 4 years.She entered with only mild dementia and living independently until she became more and more impaired. Her 85th birthday is in a few weeks , and although she doesnt appear to know who we are anymore. at least shes around to celebrate it. Self Help home has made us,her family, feel safe .My mom has had excellent care there all these years , and the administration and staff there have been very warm and nurturing throughout these very difficult years. Mom cant do anything for herself anymore , but is well-taken care of, and we know this excellent standard of care will continue as long as she is there. "

"Breakers at Edgewater was perfect. The people from my church were impressed. They do have some activities. The have a Maître D in the dining area in the evening. They have very good security. "

"We chose Clarendale of Addison for my father because of the professionalism of the salesman, the beauty of the place, and most importantly, the location. It's 5 minutes from my house. Eric has been wonderful. He has answered all of my and my father's questions and he's been very responsive and has helped out in many ways, even going to measure one of the units my dad was interested in to make sure his furniture would fit. It's a one-bedroom, has a full kitchen, a den, and a good-sized bathroom with a washer and dryer, and pantry. They have different apartment types, but he's choosing the one with the den because he wants to have a desk. They have everything. They have an exercise room, a barber, a bar, and an activities room. They have all kinds of game rooms, a lovely restaurant, and a snack bar. It looks like a luxury hotel when you walk in. It's beautiful."

"My tour was excellent. The person that showed us the place was superb. The rest of the staff were all nice, friendly, and had smiles on their faces when we were introduced. The apartments were quite nice, too. The facility was spacious and clean. They have a nice outside area for the residents, to go out. Also, it's near the downtown Des Plaines, so I'd be able to walk downtown if I wanted to."
