"Scholl Canyon Estates was very nice and very pleasant. My brother is content there. He has a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment with a microwave, a sink, and it is very nice and very comfortable. The dining room is fine, but my brother told me that it takes two hours for the food to be served. They have movies, exercise classes, and he uses their transportation to take him to his doctors' appointments."

"I was very impressed by CityViewVilla's facility. They had an awesome area on the roof where me and my client spent most of our time, overlooking the city. It is very close to Hollywood and right on a main bus line at La Brea - making for an easy commute to the store and back 24/7. The rooms were very neat also. My client's room in particular was decorated very fancy, with lush pillows and nice paintings lining the wall. He had no complaints whatsoever about the place or about the staff when I asked. He also said that the "food was very good" here and I got to see the dining area, which was like a European-style fancy restaurant. "

"Palm Court may not be the newest retirement community around, but I'm so glad I placed my loved one there! The community has a certain charm to it and the entire staff is excellent...many have worked at Palm Court for quite some time, which is not standard in this industry. I don't know why other people have complained about the food--my loved one residing there and I think it's very tasty! It must be tough to make 3 meals a day for 90 or so residents that everyone will enjoy. Everyone has different taste buds, likes and dislikes, and an opinion of how food should be cooked and prepared. Also, each apartment has a kitchenette so residents are able to purchase some of their favorite foods desired that the community may not offer. My loved one also gets daily housekeeping services, which are not offered at other communities unless you want to pay extra. And, the activities at Palm Court are top notch! There is always something to do! Plus, residents have the added bonus of living right next to the Culver City Senior Center for extra activities. I would highly recommend Palm Court to anyone!"

"I toured Westmont of Culver City. The facilities are very new. It is very nice, clean and organized. It looks like there's a lot of space, and the staff seems to be quite professional. The staff members were very responsive, too. They greeted us quickly and they took care of us. They seemed very helpful and professional. They offered us some snacks and drinks, but we didn't take any. The atmosphere felt okay but it felt like a shopping mall. The layout of the rooms was very modern. There are wide hallways and high ceilings, so it felt very open."

"Fountain Glen at Valencia was the cleanest facility and best maintained of any that I visited. Sanitation was very good. I will have my own kitchen and I will be cooking my own food like I do in my own home. I don't need medical assistance in anyway. I haven't moved in there, I've just reserved the apartment that I want. "

"My mother-in-law moved into this facility when my father-in-law died about five years ago. It is nicely maintained and offers many options for the residents. One of the things she really enjoys is the movie theater that shows movies on Fridays. It has big, comfortable movie seats and shows recent Hollywood movies. The facility provides popcorn for a full movie theater experience. The facility also offers many social activities for residents, including bingo, craft and assorted classes periodically (I think they had knitting at one time). They also offer get togethers for things like the Super Bowl in a main area with a big-screen TV. Transportation is available for going to other locations around town like the mall. The grounds are well maintained. My mother-in-law has a one bedroom unit that has a small patio. The hallways are a bit long and dark, but that's about the only negative thing I have to say about this place. We think it's a wonderful facility for her and she seems quite happy there. "
