This facility has a nice staff, but try to get anything done that involves the administration or a social worker, GOOD LUCK, as you will need it! I'm trying to transition out of here ASAP, as I've missed one too many Doctor appointments due to their ineptitude. One the other side, the day-to-day staff is friendly, the showers are pretty awful, the food is slightly above average for a nursing home. Again, it is the Administration that is leading me to GET OUT OF HERE.

My gravely I’ll relative was supposed to be there for 2 weeks to help him start walking again. He was there for 1 week and only had someone help get him out of bed and walk 3 times for 10 minutes. And he told me the staff was rude and unresponsive to his requests

My family member had been here for over a month. The physical therapists seem to do a good job. The nursing staff seems very caring, but they're very short staffed, two nurses for an entire floor. There are some CNA's that complain openly about the fact that they've got too many patients to care for and voice their complaints in front of patients and visitors. One DNA said that she was going to demand more money. I've overheard CNA's being impatient with the people in their care. Perhaps they should look for another line of work. Unfortunately It seems like the patient and caring CNA's at this location either quit or they don't last too long. I've listened to the Aperion Care recording that talks about their great food service, you wouldn't say that if you were a patient here. The types of spicy food that they serve to the seniors is beyond my understanding. The food is awful and I had to constantly bring food in for my relative.

The layout of Aperion Care Forest Park is nice, but they need more experienced employees working there. The space of the room is fair. They just bring out the trays and pass them out, like cafeteria-style, and the food is fair. They have fair recreations. My sister-in-law is there.

The facility is nicely kept and is very inviting on the outside. The grounds and landscape are really nice and make you want to go inside. The lobby and the people that work at the front are very nice and always greet you at the door. The medical staff is knowledge and compassionate. All the rooms for the residents are very nicely kept. I was very impressed with the amenities for the residents. They have a movie theater, a salon for men and women, and a large and beautiful dining room.
