I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom was at Promontory Point Rehabilitation. She was in rehab. I was very impressed with the OT and PT they have. They did an excellent job multiple times a day, so my mom made excellent progress with walking and using her hand because she had lost a lot of use of her hand beforehand, and so they did a good job with that. The staff was very nice and very attentive. However, my mom said the food was terrible. The biggest thing is the food, it did not look like it was that great and they did not have that many choices, so she didn't like to eat. They encouraged my mom to be up and not lie in bed all day, which was an excellent thing for her and helped turn things with her where she was up more and not just wanting to lay in bed and not try. They did well keeping her up. So overall, I was very, very happy with the place. It was fairly well-run. The hardest thing sometimes is they were understaffed at times, and so when my mom would ring the bell to need help, that help didn't come right away. It took a while, but it wasn't an unreasonable amount of time, so I still thought they were excellent. I would say the only negative was the food, but she's pretty picky with food. However, she made excellent progress, so I was very happy with that. My mother's room was a private room, quite good sized with her own bathroom that was also good sized, and with a wardrobe, and they would take care of laundry. I couldn't complain about the room at all. I thought it was excellent. They had activities, but for some reason, my mom didn't want to join in or anything. They often came and told her what was going on, and 'Do you want to come join?' They had activities going on. They had a little library and things that my mom could have been involved in, but she chose not to.

They just put my dad in a room and left him. The only thing they wanted to do was give him a bath. Very unprofessional. The person assigned to take care of him couldn’t even tell me what they were doing. That’s because it was nothing. Would not recommend to anyone.

Promontory Point Rehabilitation was excellent. The staff was great. They were very good with her. She told me that their food was outstanding. They did not have any activities because of the COVID. She did physical therapy three times a day, which was very good.
