"My mother-in-law is now settled at PruittHealth - Forsyth (Heritage Healthcare of Forsyth) and she seems to be satisfied there. They have church services that come in, they play Bingo, and they have auctions on Thursdays. The staff is helpful."

"My mother will be moving into River Place. It's absolutely beautiful. We like that it's convenient. It's local. The facility is like a resort. It's only a couple of years old. There's a nice country club right next door and a nice church next door. We have a nice place to go and get fine dining if we'd like. We're just very impressed with the staff, and my neighbor's mother is also living there, and he suggested it to me and then I went and took a look. One of the greatest things is that it is very affordable when it comes to assisted living. The rooms are outstanding and just beautiful. The staff is wonderful, very cooperative, and very good at explaining everything, and will just bend over backward for you. All of the residents that I've spoken with seemed to love it there. They have so many activities; you cannot be bored. They have bingo every day at 3:00, any holiday whatsoever, they have a party, like Valentine's Day. They are constantly going places. They have a very nice van that is handicap accessible. My mother goes out in a wheelchair, so that makes a big difference. They take care of you. It is a fantastic place. It's beautiful to look at. You walk in, there's a fireplace that's bigger than a king-size bed. It's incredible. There are sitting rooms everywhere. They're not just people sitting around staring at the television. There's always a conversation. It's not a very large home. There are not like 100 folks coming in there at one time. There may be 40 at the max and that's not all at one time, so you get a sense of being able to dine and comfort plus you have your own apartment. You have the emergency button that you wear and they're straight to the nurses' desk. The dining area is excellent and the food is excellent."

"We chose Heritage Healthcare because my daughter worked there at that time. So we felt a member of the family would see her every day. My mother's been there for over a year now. I just don't feel like they pay that good of attention to the people's needs. Although some of the people there seem really nice. But I'm still looking for something up. "

"I recently visited Heritage Inn of Barnesville with my son and other members of the 4-H club from his school. Upon our arrival I immediately noticed that most of the residents seemed to be fairly happy and I was surprised that I did not see any residents that suffered from Alzheimers or dementia, like I have witnessed when visiting other nursing homes. I was there for only a short while when I realized the reason for this was because the facility has a separate unit for Alzheimers patients. Out of curiosity I decided to walk over to the alzheimers wing. Although the staff seemed to be handling the residents with the upmost respect and the best care they could possibly provide, the unit was extremely chaotic and loud. The residents were confused and many of them were agitated and angry. It definitely takes a special person to be able to effectively perform his job in an environment such as this and keep a positive attitude. The nurses were very professional and I could tell that this was not a professionalism brought on by the fact that a visitor was watching. It was genuine. I only feel that there should have been more housekeeping staff dedicated to this wing because, as I learned , demented residents can be very messy and disorderly at times. As a whole the nursing home seemed to be doing a good job taking care of the residents there. The place was fairly clean and the staff was welcoming and professional. "

From Administration to Housekeeping, the level of care and love my daddy received was 110% above board. "My father is at Zebulon Park Health and Rehabilitation. I really like the place very much. It's on the level of assisted living. It's a beautiful place. It's very, very clean. The staff is wonderful. I have absolutely no complaints about that place at all. My father is in hospice care. They're very friendly and very caring. With regards to activities, they offered my father something like bingo, which they thought that maybe he could participate in, but he's not well enough. I saw activities when I passed their common areas where they're doing activities, and there seemed to be a lot of participants. The facility is absolutely beautiful. It's kind of expensive because he needs such a high level of care being under hospice, but it actually ended up being cheaper for us because when he was at assisted living he had to have sitters, and that was $500 a day cost for sitters, and that was really, really expensive. As far as nursing homes go, it's a little bit higher, but for us, I think it's a very good value."

"We are very satisfied with Baptist Village Plantation Suites. They have been absolutely wonderful in every way. I could not be more pleased with the place and the personnel, and we are just amazed with the food. Mom is on the list for the suite because the room she's in is not as large as we would like, but it is sufficient for now. The main thing is she is happy. They have so many activities, and she's been busy. The residents are so loving with each other. The experience has been so much more than we thought it would be. "

"My mother is at Baptist Village Plantation Villas. So far, it's great. Her room is spacious and clean. Everybody is nice. It's perfect. I have no complaints. They have Bingo, movie nights, they go places, and they have different activities. They have meals on certain days and they all get together. She hasn't eaten in the cafeteria yet, but all the rooms have their own full kitchen. The staff is excellent. A lot of neighbors have stopped by and they said they love it there. They have a library and ground maintenance is covered. It's just a beautiful neighborhood."

"The cleanliness of The Cottages on Wesleyan was good and their maintenance was also good. I liked the fact that the foyer and the common area didn't have carpet in it and the rooms were nice. They were wide enough for one person. It was a nice facility. The employees were nice as well."

"The price of Autumn Village II assisted living is very, very, very comfortable for us. We like the atmosphere, and it's spacious. They're professional and down-to-earth. I like the fact that my dad was able to get this nice, nice room for the price, and he didn't have to share a room (when most of the other facilities would make you share a room or charge you extra for normal things). In this facility, everything is included. The staff is very professional, very knowledgeable, and very kind to my father. They're also very inviting and make you feel right at home. They have an activity room and an activity director. They go on outings twice a week. They have different game nights and different social gatherings that they do once a week. They have an area where you can get your hair done and an area where the residents can read. The community is really not that far and actually very convenient and close to the interstate, so it's in a good area. It's very near other facilities, so it's located in the right area."

Not only is the facility beautiful the staff is amazing and they are real and they treat you as family and not just a dollar sign. "My mom is a resident of Westbury Medical Care Home. The facilities are awesome. They're very attentive to my mother's needs and they're sociable. They have common areas like physical therapy areas, weight rooms, and game rooms, and it's semi-private. The food is good."

"I liked The Gables at Wolf Creek. That's the one I'm leaning towards. Everything was just nice. My children have all been very impressed with their facility from what they have seen. My granddaughter that lives close by says the porches will be so wonderful to sit on. I have talked with the staff and I've also met some of the people that live there, and I was impressed. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. In their main building, they have a place to eat, but they don't cook meals every day there (it's for a get-together). I was impressed. I like where they're located. Macon is growing and it's just a good place to be able to get in and out, go to the store , and do whatever I need to do."
