I went to Madison and it had a good rehab center. I stayed there close to 30 days. The staff wasn't that great either. They were very demanding. I was there sick and I couldn't get out of the bed. They don't know how sick I was. I had a major surgery on my neck and I had a cut on the top of my head because of a grout that was taken out from the top of my head. I was just very sick, but I did try my best to go and I did go most of the time, but sometimes, they forced me to go and I could not go. The rooms were all right and I don't have complaints with the food.

We went to look at Madison Health and Rehab, and I was not impressed. It was an unplanned visit, so the administrator was not there. I talked to the person who does the recreation. They were friendly and helpful. But we had to call the administrator to get some information about the costs and that type of thing. They didn't have any information written out or anything like that for people. They had semi-private rooms. They looked like there had not been much upkeep on the whole facility. My grandmother was out there 25 years ago, and it didn't look like it changed at all. They were more expensive than an assisted living facility. I would not want to put anybody out there. It needed some TLC too. It needs a major facelift, both outside and inside.

Madison Health and Rehab in Mars Hill, NC has caring for pt with dementia and are still mobile issues. I was called within a weeks time, 4 to 5 times, calling about my mom. I was asked if I could come watch my mom because the facility was short of staff. When I told them no, it was their responsibility to care for my mom and i was hungup on. I was asked another day when i was taking my mom home. Not a professional way to handle the situation. Think twice before using Madison Health and Rehab if your family member has dementia or alzheimers. The facility is not equipted with facilities to accommodate theses patients.
