"This facility is amazing , feels like home. The home is located in the heart of historical downtown Madison, Georgia. Not only is the facility itself beautiful, but the staff and the owners are great. They always have wonderful healthy meals and when I’m there they invite me to eat with them. They truly care about all of the residents and provide excellent care to all of the residents. They DO NOT accept pets, so I’m not sure why this website says they do. Also all the rooms have a full bathroom. The rooms and the facility is kept very clean. It smells like a hotel. They have many activities for the residents. The churches come to visit the residents and they sing songs. They also have scoops ice cream truck visit every other week. My mom also loves the card making class and she loves giving the cards to our family. They are reasonably priced, but the prices on this website are not accurate. They have a couple of finance aid options including VA assistance and CCSP wavier. My mom qualified for VA assistance and they were very helpful with the Veteran Assistance Aid process. They are always full so if your interested in living here I recommend you reserve your spot. Most importantly my mom is very happy and we are happy with the Madison House Senior Living. "I went to Madison and it had a good rehab center. I stayed there close to 30 days. The staff wasn't that great either. They were very demanding. I was there sick and I couldn't get out of the bed. They don't know how sick I was. I had a major surgery on my neck and I had a cut on the top of my head because of a grout that was taken out from the top of my head. I was just very sick, but I did try my best to go and I did go most of the time, but sometimes, they forced me to go and I could not go. The rooms were all right and I don't have complaints with the food. "

"Lakeview Manor was a small place with about 10 residents, so it was not a big facility. Yet, it was not too small that if she did not like the other residents, there were other people she could still talk to. I liked the location because it was in the middle of nowhere. They had a very nice lake with a gazebo where they went to sit or fished. There was also a nice wooded area around it. The only drawback was it took about 15-20 minutes to drive to town for shopping. Mom had a private room with a window that looked out to the lake, a good-sized closet, twin bed, dresser and side table. Although, we brought her own bed in. They did not have television service in the room so I provided for her. I preferred it if the private rooms had bathrooms but they did not have. All the bathroom were in the hallway and shared by everybody. They had two aides in the morning and one at night. I did not see any scheduled or planned-out activities. The residents did whatever they felt doing like puzzles, coloring or dance to music. They mostly stayed in the television room. She kept complaining about the food and there were a lot or repairs underway. "

"My mother moved into Quiet Oaks Health Care Center. I'm very pleased with it. I'm pleased with the staff. They are very helpful and very kind. The facility is very clean. My mom's room is fine. It is satisfactory. They have a doctor, nurses, a beauty shop, and a courtyard. The food is very good. It was expensive, but I have no complaints. I think they're doing the very best that they can do. I'm very impressed."

"I was very impressed with Presbyterian Village Athens. They have beautiful brand new cottages with one-bedroom or two-bedroom, a garage, a screened porch, and a little green area. I didn't see the apartments (but they have them). I went inside one of their little houses and it's all brand new. It looked fantastic. It's all new appliances and new floors. They have a very large dining room and a private dining room for people who want to have a party with their children or their friends. They have a swimming pool (which I'm very excited about), a gym, and a lot of activities. They have classes (like yoga and genealogy), and a book club. So, they are getting the residents organized into groups of interest. I liked it very much. We would be interested in living there, for sure. Some of our friends already live there and they took us around. We had dinner and the food was good. They also have a memory unit, and that's important to us."
