Savanah Court of Camilla

Mom got down to Savannah Court of Camilla on Saturday. She likes her room. It is a nice place. The residents are all nice. They made her feel welcomed. From what I've seen, the three meals a day look good to me. The price is not that bad. It is a little cheaper compared to some that I've seen, but overall, I think she's enjoying it. When you first go into her room, it's got a little sitting area in there with two chairs and a lamp. Then you go into the main part where she has her hospital bed and there's a bathroom to one side where she can get her wheelchair in. It's got a shower and if she needs assistance, there's a cord in there to pull. I carried her TV in there and she's got a cell phone. I carried a chest of drawers and they had a spacious closet. The rooms have their own thermostat for heat and cooling. So, it's just a nice room all around. They've got a place to get your hair fixed, a pool, and a few extra dining rooms where they have a family night once a month. They have courtyards where residents can come in or the family can come in and they have a little meal. Last night, they had one with a theme from the fifties, sixties, and seventies. They had hamburgers and hot dogs. What I've seen and what I've eaten were good. They've got bingo and a living room area where they come to watch TV and talk and whatever. It's kept up well, but it's just an older facility.

I like Savannah Court of Camilla. They were the best. If I had moved Mom, that would've been the place where I would've put her. It was exceptional. It was great. The people were alive. The administrator was great. I have no complaints. The facility was nice and clean.

Savannah Court of Camilla is the one I'm looking at. One thing that is in favor for them is that they are assisted living, but you got your own place. It is just like going back to college in a little tiny place. The staff was fantastic. We did not get to go to the dining room, but they brought us Styrofoam containers with some of the best food. It didn't taste like hospital food. It tasted like somebody cares. The lady that brought our dinners, said, 'I hope you enjoy this,' It was so good. They have also turned their dining room into an arts and crafts place. You can build doll houses or paint. They got one sewing machine there, and they do quilts by hand. When we were walking to go see the first villa, no matter who you passed (whether it was a resident or a staff) they said 'hello, how are you?' Everybody has a mask on. On Wednesdays, they come by to take the linens off your bed, gather up your clothes, amd take them to be washed. While your clothes are being taken care of, the cleaning crew comes in. What more could you ask for? They have transportation to and from doctors and to shopping. I really like it. The upkeep is very, very nice. It looks like somebody cares. I got to meet the maintenance gentleman, and he is a sweetheart. They have never had anybody robbed of anything. Even though I don't like the location, what they have to offer sounds like it is the place where I'm going to go. I really do. I would recommend Savannah Court to anyone that was looking for a place.

The Independent Living housing are so beautiful and comfortable to live in. The Staff was very friendly and helpful, the meals are delicious. They have a lot of activities for you to do and their Family Nights seems like FUN!

Savannah Court was on one level, so I liked it. I liked the layout of the 2-bedroom, and the staff was great.

We were favorably impressed with Savannah Court of Camilla, and we enjoyed it. The rooms were a little bit on the small side, but they were clean. The residents were happy, and they were inviting us to dine with them. The food was very good.
