My mom is staying at Minneola Place. It's a smaller place, so I think my mom's getting better care there. They also have Medicare and Medicaid. It fits within her budget. They have activities like once a week. They have a family room with a TV that is used daily. They can sit outside on the back porch if they like, but my mom doesn't go out at all. They have a kitchen and a family room. My mom hasn't complained and tells me the food is good. They let me bring in snacks for my mom, and they kept them in the kitchen. The staff members were wonderful. It's an extremely clean facility. The facility is older, but they have done some renovations there. It would be nice if some of their furniture in there was replaced. They don't have all the fancy furniture in the place, but it's more affordable. They have open communication. If I have a question, I text the owner or her son, who's the bookkeeper. The people are friendly. They take good care of my mom. It's a nice place.

My father moved into Leisure Manor. It's a great location, because it's only five or six minutes from where we live. Every time we stop in, it's always been a calm place, and it's always been neat and clean. It's not set up like a real nursing room. It has a big common room with couches, a TV, a really big dining room and kitchen area, and a couple of really long hallways with different rooms. They offer three square meals a day, and he's never complained about the meals. It's free to come and go outside the property. Sometimes there are two people in a room, and sometimes only one person to a room. They have a good workout class, regular board games, cards, and sing-alongs. They have a little computer room. The staff seems nice, friendly, cordial, and the head nurse seemed really nice, experienced, knowledgeable, and helpful.
