My brother recently had a major stroke and was hospitalized. After being discharged, he was transferred to a skilled nursing facility. The facility closed approximately two months after his admission, so another facility had to be found quickly. Social workers and their professional contacts suggested Devonshire Acres in Sterling, Colorado. This facility has a caring and hardworking staff who diligently meet the needs of the patients/occupants. The facility is kept clean, rooms are spacious, and the facility offers many programs and living accommodations. I recommend Devonshire especially if you have a loved one in the area that needs special care.

I moved to Devonshire Acres. It's excellent. I have a single apartment type set up. It's got a little kitchenette and room for my 55-inch TV set. There's a hospital-type bed in it, which I require. There's a nurse assistant in the daytime and one at night. They give you a little button to wear around your neck, one in the bed and one in the bathroom. If I need help, all I have to do is push it. There's a full calendar every month of activities going on. There's a full gym with all the physical therapy equipment I can use anytime I want to. The food is far better than the place I came from.

My brother is at Devonshire Acres. It is a really good place. They seem to be getting real good care, and they have a lot of activities to keep them busy. It is a really good place to be. It is a 5 on all of it because I'm really happy with it, and I think my brother is too. I didn't even consider trying others. There is another place, but we just thought that Devonshire would be ideal, so that's where he is.

The staff at Devonshire Acres assisted me very well. The rooms they showed me were not compatible for me. The facility is just about right, but they have a lot of people waiting for bigger apartments.
