I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

This is one of the best facilities! We moved our dad in here and his health and overall happiness has improved tremendously!! They always seem to have some sort of activity going on & Dad has taken a liking to being involved in those! Thank you to the staff for all you do!

I visited this facility

The person in charge at Paradise Villa was easy to talk to and very informative. The common area was very nice, but the individual rooms were dark, looked like they needed painting and some flooring replaced, and were kind of depressing.

Provider Response

Thank you for your review. We are in the process of painting and fixing the floors. In addition we are also upgrading and changing the look in the community. We believe "a simple act of caring creates an endless ripple" and are always in a state of positive change. We would look forward to seeing your loved ones stay here, thank you!

I visited this facility

Paradise Villa seemed a little pricey, but most places in this area are; none of them are really affordable in my opinion. The people who run the facility seemed very nice. They took a lot of time to explain the care and the routine. My mom is not in immediate need for housing at this point, so I am not really looking to put her in a place right away. It seemed a little dated and small, and those were the 2 things I found as striking. Maybe they could have larger rooms or individual rooms. I haven’t really toured many facilities to have a comparison, but from I was quoted in pricing, it was clear that she would have to share a room with somebody, and they looked pretty small. And at the time I was in this facility, they were in the midst of renovating, so I didn’t really get a true picture of the newer facility because it wasn’t ready to open yet.

This is the best care and the best care givers in the Santa Cruz area!! The rooms for the most part are LARGE with lots of light with part of the the 14,000square foot facility newly remodled???????? the price can't be beat for the service and the love ! NO nickel and dining here!! As most places in this area do...... highly recommend this place ....

I visited this facility

I didn’t like Paradise Villa. For one thing, it was too expensive. It was an expensive price for just a shared room, and if you have a single private room, it was quite expensive. It was a small community, a small building. Their room accommodations were small and didn’t have kitchens. It was a little complex, so the size of the accommodations was smaller and more compact.

I visited this facility

My visit to Paradise Villa was very good. I thought it was a great place, and we were shown around by the director. They had shared rooms, two beds to a room, a little closet, a chest of drawers, and a bed. They seemed to have two or three small dining areas. They were having some kind of group singing activity when we were there.

I visited this facility

I visited Paradise Villa. It was a smaller place, which I thought my dad would have liked. I had kind of a neutral feeling about it. When I walked in, there were people sitting around. The staff was excellent. The gal that I met with was fabulous, and I really liked her. The rooms were spacious and nice. They had a new section that they were remodeling, which was really nice.

I visited this facility

The people at Paradise Villa were super nice, but the facility was very old looking. It’s a lot run down and is outdated; it needs to be remodeled. The staff seems very helpful and kind, and that, to me, is the most important thing no matter what the place looks like and how on top of things the staff is with their patients or clients. They seemed very active; the people were coming and going. It kind of had a hotel atmosphere. It’s an old hotel that they have remodeled. It’s right downtown Santa Cruz, in the midst of everything, so real Victorian style and stimulating, as my husband would say.
