My mother was at Manhattan Senior Villas for 5 years, and she loved it. It was like a big sorority house. Even though it's not assisted living, everybody looks out for each other, and she made some great friends there and really enjoyed it. They have bingo, movies, and a couple of dice games. The people were very friendly, and they do things. They get together in the morning in the community room for coffee and chitchat. I've never seen anybody use the exercise room, but it's not real big. It has an exercise bike and a couple of things in it. They have a nice community room. They have laundry facilities on each floor. It's only 3 floors. It's well located. It's right below a major shopping center, and it's on the other side of a soccer field, so my mother had a view out the window and was always fascinated by all the kids playing soccer. The bath tubs are high. They're like standard tubs. They need to have the ones that are cut so people can just walk in and out. I've heard a lot of people complain that's it's hard for them to step over the tub to get in. The rooms are all 1-bedroom, and I think they're 650 sq. ft. They have a small living room, dining room, small kitchen, and they all have a little balcony, which is nice.
