My mother stayed in Terraza of Cheviot Hills for respite care. What I liked the most is that the staff were extremely friendly. They were very attentive and did everything that they could to make my mother as comfortable as possible. They were very accommodating and kept in touch with the family as far as updates and what was going on with her care. The staff were very knowledgeable and did everything in their power to make her stay as pleasant as possible. For activities, they had bingo, game nights, movie nights, and paintings. They had some activities where they would take them away from the facilities, like some outings, but my mother had had ankle surgery, so she didn't participate in any of that. They probably just need a little more staff. It seemed like they were a little understaffed. My mom would have to wait a little while for medications. However, everyone is understaffed right now. So that would be the only thing. They have a beauty salon because it was right across from my mother's room. They also have physical therapy.

Rooms are spacious, clean , bright , huge closets, perfect size bathroom. The staff are great. Total interaction with residents. They’re patient & caring. Most of the staff have been working there for years. That in itself is saying a lot. .Activities are constantly happening. Whether jewelry making, art, music , current events, movies or live performances. They keep the residents active , mind & body.

My mom stayed at Terraza of Cheviot Hills for about 15 days. The facility was well organized. The staff is very conscientious. It served most of my mom's needs. They have a pretty well-developed activity area. My mom had her own bathroom, a very nice bed, furniture that her visitors could sit on, and a walk-in closet. She didn't have a TV or anything like that, but one of the amenities that was very important to us was that she had Wi-Fi. My mom needs a high-fiber diet. We didn't think the staff went out of their way to help her out in ways that would have benefited her with that dietary necessity. The food situation could be more pliable. Especially for the price, we thought that the food could have been better. My neighbor ended up going over there and providing my mom with the food that she eats regularly here at home. The one criticism that we had was that their policy was that they charged us for 30 days, but we only used 15 of the 30 days, so we ended up paying double the price. I understand that's probably the way they have to do it. We had very few offered options, and I would say that we got our value. It was very expensive.

My tour of Terraza of Cheviot Hills was very good. I was surprised it was so nice. The staff was good. The building was clean and well kept. The location was fine. The layout was fairly simple, and the halls were large. Being the first facility I visited, I was impressed with it and with how the staff works with the residents in there. They were able to call the people by their first names. It's in good shape. I felt good about it.

My uncle has been living in Terraza of Cheviot Hills for many years now. The care there is good, the food has been good, and I also have a private caretaker that I have hired, so he's getting good care from her. I hoped he would be more involved in the activities because he's quite social, but was not as much, but he did get involved in public speaking, which was one of things that he taught, and did a couple of times where he told jokes to the residents. He got a kick out of that. I expected him more to get involved in the cards and other activities, but he did not, and it wasn't the fault of the place at all. The room he is currently paying for is great, the maintenance is good, and everything about it is good, everything from the cable TV to the bathroom. My experiences with the staff has been very positive. I've worked with the staff in terms of his medication, med techs, and they have all been friendly and really assist my uncle very well, even as he's grown more difficult in his older age.
