I looked at Wyndham Residence. It's a combination of independent and assisted living, and I was very impressed with that facility. They have an inner courtyard with an aviary with different birds in it that interact with the residents. The facility just in general was nice. The room sizes weren't the greatest, but they were bigger than the average. They seem to have a fair amount of activities. It was all clean and they were redoing it. They also have an ice cream parlor, which is open from 10:00 to 3:00, and they can get ice cream, sundaes, floats, and milkshakes. The food smelled good and the menu looked varied. The dining area was pretty and it looked out on a garden. I saw two vans that they had. They're more affordable than the other place I looked at. They had just repainted the common area, and they're going to be doing new flooring. They have a couple of libraries and a room with a fireplace in it.

My dad moved into Wyndham Residence. It’s very nice, very comfortable, and home like. It’s not like a fancy 5-star hotel and more like a home. The people at Wyndham Residence are above and beyond anything I’ve ever experienced before. They’re wonderful. The food is excellent and the chef actually makes a point of coming and asking my dad what he would like him to order from the supplier and how he would like it cooked.

I thought Wyndham Residence was real nice. We like the activities that are available for my mom. My mom liked it a lot, and that probably would be our first choice. The room was quite nice. They have a living room area and a kitchen. Then there is a separate room for the bedroom and bathroom. They have a nice safe walk-in shower with a bench and rails. I like the feeling of it being a smaller facility so my mom wouldn't feel so overwhelmed. They have just about everything you could think of as far as activities is concerned.

Wydnham Residence is absolutely 5 stars definitely. I love the way that it is setup; they have multiple floors, they don’t have a wide range of levels of care -- but at the same time they were able to accommodate for a lot -- they’ll take somebody that's far more independent, and they have amenities for everybody. It’s almost like a fancy hotel, and the staff are some of the easiest people to work with. The administrator Barbara is definitely a personable person: very approachable, and very genuine. They are set up very functionally, the bathroom, the room and the spaces were all setup to accommodate a wide variety of patients. There was very good design planning in those rooms.
