"Maplewood Assisted Living was very secure, welcoming, and very clean. They had friendly staff. They had many activities that the residents could participate in. They had a game room where they could go play cards and where they could read. They had a chapel there where they could attend services. They had an outside facility where they could have picnics. They posted activities. You could do bingo one night, and they had cards that you could play and a lot of things that they catered to the residents."

"Legacy K Elderly Care Homes was a series of homes. There were three homes there. It's very home-centered. It's family-run. It's warm and welcoming. The residents seemed very well cared for and happy. Carla was very warm, and caring, and wanted to make sure that our needs were met. They do in-home activities. They have television area viewing and they have meals that they prepare. As far as entertainment, they have games and books. They didn't tend to have a lot of additional activities, but the games and books were what people were doing the most and some of them were watching TV. My one concern was the shared bathrooms."

"I've visited this facility a multitude of times before the passing of my great grandfather, who resided there. I don't have much experience with assisted living homes but I have heard some horror stories about how the staff doesn't care about the residents and the food tastes horrible. Now I can't say anything for how the food tastes but I can say in my experiences there I found that the staff were extremely kind and helpful. Whenever I would go visit with my great grandmother or any other family member the nurses would always have updates on his condition and how he had been. They knew the residents by name and seemed to actually care for them. When I heard that my family decided to place my great grandpa into a home I was worried and sad that he would feel lonely, like no one cared about him, and just sit in a room all day miserable. This actually prevented me from visiting him, his first couples months there because I didn't want to see him sad and have that be the lasting memory I had. However, upon visiting it wasn't the sad experience I thought it was going to be and found that he had things to do and people that were there for him. I'm glad this is the facility that was decided upon. "
