"We went to look at Vista at Simi Valley. They supply meals, snacks, and complete care. It's expensive but affordable. The rooms satisfied all the needs of the residents. They offer tours to various places quite often. They have a separate dining room for guests, which they will serve meals to. They supplied lunch and a tour when we were there."

"We're interested in the Sage Mountain Senior Living. I love Sage Mountain. It's beautiful. The people there are so nice. They're so understanding and they were very thorough with all my questions. They're always there if I have a question and need to call them; the communication is fantastic. Everything there was clean, it's new, and very accommodating. When you walk in it, you just get a friendly vibe right away. It's a place where I definitely would put my mom and feel comfortable knowing she's safe. When I did meet there and take a tour, I was given some samples of some pumpkin bread, and everything was fantastic, fresh, tasty, very clean. I would definitely recommend the food."

"My mother moved into Caccam's Stanton Residence. The care they provide to her is great, and we're very happy. The staff who work there is great, we're very pleased with all of them. Her room and the whole community are clean. If family members visit, they have a living room or they can go to their room."

"Oakmont of Simi Valley seemed very nice. They had a neat little window box outside of every room in the memory care where family could put items that belonged to that person, like an award, pictures of grandchildren, or something they made. They also had a huge radius where they would transport their residents for free. Everyone we encountered was very nice. Their food was delicious. They're gourmet. And they have a proprietary beverage with their own label on it that their chefs come up with. It was like an apple drink, and it was very good and all organic. The structure of the building was beautiful, too. They had activities going on in different rooms."

"My dad is now at Oakmont of Camarillo. It's lovely and it's brand new. Everything has been top-rated. It has been very good. The food is excellent and there are all kinds of activities. There's exercise classes, games, and field trips. They have been on lockdown. My dad hadn't really gotten too settled before the lockdown, but his apartment is lovely and brand new. Because it is his own furniture, it feels like home. Everybody has been very good."

"My aunt and uncle like the Varenita of Simi Valley very much. The food is top-notch gourmet. The staff members are very observant and very caring. We have been impressed with their attentiveness to the residents. For instance, my aunt had ordered shrimp served on a bed of fettuccine. She has Parkinson's so she had trouble cutting the shrimp to bite-sized pieces. Someone noticed it and said, 'Would you like some help with that, ma'am?' She said, 'Sure.' So little things like that make a big difference. The staff members are very friendly. Everybody from the maintenance guys to the front desk, to the aides that come, and to the nurse that comes to deliver the meds are all fabulous. Everybody in the dining area is fabulous, too. Even the guy that does the table is great. They have a bunch of entertainment and activities. I haven't observed much in that regard, but I've seen some of the musical groups that come and perform. My aunt and uncle are still getting settled in, but I know they'll participate more once they get settled in. They get a list every day of what's going on, and the list seems nice. You get what you pay for. They also have appliances in their room. They have a refrigerator, a microwave, a little two-burner cooktop, and a stackable washer and dryer. If they choose, they could do their weekly laundry on a regular basis. If they need something from a pharmacy, the CVS is right there with other restaurants. They have an in-house salon, and there are some shopping centers that they can walk to, so it's also unique in that regard."

"My mother enjoyed the Assisted Living part of the facility. Wednesday happy with live music, meeting her friends for dinner every night, and the helpful, caring, and friendly staff. The staff knew it was time to make the change to Memory Care. We were hesitant to move her. It turns out she is much happier and probably healthier after the move. She is on a nice schedule and is getting the correct diet and stimulation she couldn’t regulate on her own. We are very happy with Atria. Wonderful staff from top to bottom. They definitely treat their residents like family. Very caring."

"I have friends at Atria; it's very near to us. It's a wonderful place, and they have renovated. However, it was very expensive, and I could never afford to go there. They have fewer residents, but they have a tremendous amount of space, and they have lots of common areas. They have a little lunch corner, where visitors can sit down and have snacks. They have a lot of facilities for Alzheimer's."
