Riverside (The Crossing At Riverside Health and Rehabilitation) has everything from assisted to total private care. The place was very nice. The people seemed like they liked it and they were happy there. The staff was really nice and the food looked good. They have a library, outside activities, activity rooms, and games. It was really nice. You could eat in your room or in the dining room. They take the ones who are able on little trips.

The experience my father (and our family) had was overall positive, but with a few standout negative issues. The nurses and staff were usually quite cheerful. The facilities are new and kept up in a cheerful way. Visiting hours seemed limited at times, but I understand the need to give other residents the right to ample quiet time. A major concern, however, was when on two separate occasions (on two separate visits) my father was not given his insulin shots. One time it was skipped for a day, and another for nearly three days and he had to be hospitalized.
