"I've had my mom there for three months now and am very happy with their care. The staff is very friendly and truly seems to care about the residents. My mom can be difficult at times but they try their best to make her happy and that has been a huge relief for me. "

"The facility has made 180 degrees turn around since new management took over. The facility is clean and has no odors. Residents are well taken care of and the new staff actually care!!!! Previous management and staff that are gone didn't and it was obvious by the way the place smelled and looked, and the appearance of the residents. Keep up the great work!!!!!!!"

"The Rose House has someone on staff whom you can call 24 hours a day, but they don't have a lot of services. They furnish two meals and a snack. The rooms were so small. I guess they're all right for maybe one person, but they were nice and clean. They had no exercise room. It was a very small facility, and it didn't offer quite as much. We called and made an appointment, but evidently the staff forgot, so she wasn't really ready for us. She gave us all the information, though. We were shown the dining area and the different rooms. The dining area was small, but it was OK. It's nice inside, as far as the furniture they use, but I don't know that they could improve the outside where it sits. It's in a very congested area, and it was hard to find. They say they can't put a sign out. It's very reasonable. I couldn't believe how cheap it was. They look like they keep it up as far as the outside of the building and inside. The furniture and everything looked nice."

"The Bungalows at Branson Meadows was very nice, clean and fairly new. Their services were pretty comparable to everywhere else, but you don't feel as welcomed there. The day that we were there, the staff members were just very busy and not as interested in us or what they needed to show us. They were kind of in a hurry to get us in and out that kind of thing. So I think they could have done a much better job of selling the place. The dining area looked fine though. The room had a little kitchenette and their own little bathroom. All the rooms had nice walk-in showers."

"We chose Countryside Assisted Living for my mom. They did all they could to make space available so that we could put her in memory care. It's a very lovely place. As soon as I went in, I felt very comforted that the employees and residents seemed to be happy and going about their day, which wasn't the same atmosphere where she moved from. Right off the bat, everyone did whatever they could to help and reassured me that Mom didn't need to go to a nursing home, and that they could take care of her even through hospice. They've done everything they could to make us feel comfortable. And it's really obvious, especially on the memory care side, that she's well cared for. All their employees just seem loving and caring, whereas I have witnessed other places have a lot of frustrated employees. So, whatever they're doing to train each other or how they're selecting their caregivers is wonderful. My mom is enjoying her food, but I haven't experienced it. Memory care doesn't do as many activities as assisted living. It's just trying to take care of them and keep everybody peaceful. I'm very satisfied and relieved even though I can't be there all the time. Where she was previously, I was constantly getting phone calls and there were constant problems and I was always worried about her. And I didn't realize after we placed Mom here how much more relaxed I am that she's being cared for in a proper humane way which hasn't necessarily happened in the past."

"Wedgewood Gardens facility was clean. The staff was extremely friendly and very attentive to their clients. They had a dietician, an RN staff, and a pharmacist assistant on staff. Just a great place, a nice place. My dad did stay there for about five days for respite and he enjoyed that. It was great."

"We really liked what The Oaks Retirement Community offered. They had an indoor swimming pool and a hot tub, plus a movie theater and an exercise room. If we need certain things, we pay extra for it, and we like that better. The staff was excellent. We would move into independent living because that's all we need right now and then when we needed assisted living, it's kind of like down the hall. You get three meals a day. You go down for breakfast, and you tell them what you want to have, so they cook it right there, fresh. It was beautiful. The grounds were awesome. I love the sitting areas outside and covered areas. It was wonderful."

"My mom was in Newton County Nursing Home before she passed away. It worked for us. I believe the people who bought it are renovating it because it had one of the wings blocked off when we moved her in. So I anticipate that, ultimately, it's going to be pretty nice. The outside has a grassy area. It's got places where the individuals can go outside on good days. She had a private room. I think normally they're shared, but in her case, she had a private room. It was just a typical room. There was good staff and there were some that weren't quite as pleasing. But overall, I would say the staff was very good, kind, and helpful. They had a craft area. I know they played bingo. I know that they had singers that would come in, like gospel music. I think it was local. People would come in and sing, so it seemed like people always had something going on during the day that would break the day up. They always made sure that she had her food, or it was liquefied, and she always had to, in the best possible way, what she needed that she would be able to eat."

"The staff at Ozark Mountain Manor were polite and cheerful.When a patient was feeling upset or lonely the staff tried their best to put a smile on their faces. They had a Very well kept clean facility.Every thing was stocked and to date, especially in the kitchen. Patients had excellent healthy food, depending of coarse on their health.They seemed to be up to date on their equipment, from heart monitoring to oxygen. They also had a great recreational room / social room for the patients, That was rather nice.Including of course several couches, two televisions, a radio , and a piano.Each patients room was made to be their own private dwelling. Each had its own couch and television. The patients them selves seemed to be quite happy ,yes they may have missed their home but it had seemed as it Ozark Mountain Manor became a sort of second home. "
