My mom was in Newton County Nursing Home before she passed away. It worked for us. I believe the people who bought it are renovating it because it had one of the wings blocked off when we moved her in. So I anticipate that, ultimately, it's going to be pretty nice. The outside has a grassy area. It's got places where the individuals can go outside on good days. She had a private room. I think normally they're shared, but in her case, she had a private room. It was just a typical room. There was good staff and there were some that weren't quite as pleasing. But overall, I would say the staff was very good, kind, and helpful. They had a craft area. I know they played bingo. I know that they had singers that would come in, like gospel music. I think it was local. People would come in and sing, so it seemed like people always had something going on during the day that would break the day up. They always made sure that she had her food, or it was liquefied, and she always had to, in the best possible way, what she needed that she would be able to eat.
