Home Instead is an absolutely 1st Class organization! The caregivers that have come to the house to work with my Mom have been very kind and helpful. They really care about working with Seniors and understand the nuances and challenges that go hand in hand in doing so. In addition, Kelsey, their Nashville Office Director of Client Care has been outstanding to work with as has the entire office staff. I am very thankful that we found Home Instead help with my Mom's needs and strongly recommend their services to anyone needing Senior Care Assistance!

I have been very pleased with the caregivers that I have worked with. Especially Darnesia and Artty. They both arrive on time, immediately wash their hands, wear a mask (my preference) and are ready to work. They both anticipate my needs with a smile; their kindness and caring shines through no matter how many times I wake them during the night to help me. We also have wonderful conversations and end up laughing a lot which is a huge boost for a home-bound person. It's like having family come visit and take care of you. Kelsey has been very helpful in addressing any concerns, needs and suggestions in a timely fashion. She handles everything with total professionalism and is very kind, thoughtful and sensitive to my situation. I couldn't be happier. No one wants to be in a situation where they need overnight care, but, if you do find yourself needing assistance I highly recommend Home Instead. You will not be disappointed.

We have used this provider for five years to help with dementia care for my husband in our home and to provide respite for me (his wife and primary caregiver). Primary services provided include assisting with activities of daily living (dressing, standing, transferring, walking, feeding, toileting) and providing social stimulation. Other tasks include help with meal prep, laundry, and spending time with my husband outdoors when weather permits. The quality of service provided by home care aides assigned to us by this agency has varied over the years, but has significantly improved over the last six months. The main reasons for improvement have been: 1) Assignment of regular caregivers who come consistently on designated days of the week for at least one month. This fosters a trusting relationship that maximizes the client's residual abilities. 2) Assignment of home care aides with the physical capacity and experience to transfer and walk with individuals who are at extreme risk of falling. 3) Assignment of aides who focus primarily on the individual requiring care and do what they can to engage his attention and stimulate his interest in the world around him. Dementia care requires patience, a cheerful affect, and the recognition that the client remains a unique individual despite cognitive or other impairments. The agency has been very responsive to our requests. Some staff without their own transportation or conflicting family responsibilities have difficulty arriving on time. Most staff are congenial, interesting people who are sensitive to our needs and committed to doing the best job they can. We are grateful for their service.

My Home Instead experience, along with Client Care Coordinator, Kelsey, were excellent! The initial phone contact, intake visit, and follow-up connections were all very professional, thorough, and friendly. They were able to provide wonderful care for my 60 year old brother with intellectual disabilities on short notice for weekday mornings in combination with family support for two weeks, so I could spend some time with my grown sons and get some respite. My brother enjoyed his caregiver, Diane. I felt confident in their dependable services and would definitely use them again.

We have Home Instead for three or four days a week for 4 or 5 hours per day or whatever we need. The caregiver is a very helpful, sweet, concerned lady. She does housekeeping, laundry, and cleans the kitchen and the bathroom. As far as taking care of mom, it’s good. They go out to the salon and get her hair done. Dependable companion and very prompt. If she is tied in traffic, she would give us a phone call.

Home Instead provided round the clock care for my father for 16 months and our experience with this agency was excellent. My dealings with the administrative staff were always positive and constructive. Even as difficult situations arose I found everyone willing to work at coming up with ways to adjust to these challenges always focusing on my Dad's needs. As for the CareGivers I found them to be both professional and compassionate, often going beyond their normal duties (including helping with his meals and cleaning) in order to keep my father safe, comfortable and able to stay in his home. Over such a lengthy period I feel I had ample time and opportunity to see Home Instead deal with various situations and would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone in need of caring and quality home senior care.

Choosing a service was overwhelming. I needed help with my mother living at home with me and I did not know where to turn. I was given several names of companies and after a couple weeks of research I first chose a cheaper company giving me exactly what I was paying for and I switched to Home Instead within a month. Home Instead did exactly what they agreed to do. I was so impressed with mom's caregiver. She always seemed to know what mom needed and tended to those needs as if she were her own mom. We used Home Instead for nine months and probably met 6 caregivers from Home Instead. They were all very attentive and I was comfortable with everyone that came to our house. I must also mention the attention staff gave to making sure I was aware of mom's well being. I am grateful for everything Home Instead did for me and for the loving care they gave my mom.

I have had this agency for some time. The care givers either don't want to work even at light house keeping or the agency tells them they don't have to do things that I consider light housekeeping. I just found out on Wednesday last week the caregivers do NOT have to clean bathtubs, sinks or commodes. I am disappointed in this agency. I thought that light house keeping included those chores as well as dusting, vacumming, mopping and occassionally going to the grocery with you..especially the ones of us that are disabled.
