My mother was in NHC (at the old St. Mary's hospital) for rehab following hip replacement surgery, and they all but killed her. My Mom's hands and feet are crippled from RA and she has to be fed and moved with assistance. I would go by to see her on my way home from work (on more than one occasion) and find her entire day of food trays sitting there with nothing gone. She would be crying and mucus from her nose all over her face. No one took her to the bathroom or checked on her ALL day. Additionally, ALL of her clothes were stolen as well as decor we placed in her room to make her stay more bareable (They did reimburse us for repurchasing her clothing). I reported everything they did, but no one cared! We removed my Mom and she will NEVER go back!

My mom was in this facility for rehab after she had been in the hospital for unknown reasons. They were very helpful at admission by letting me know what aid she could get from Medicare and Medicaid. They were very good in the physical therapy portion of care. She was only in there for 1 month but I would recommend.
