We are letting my mom stay at her home right now. We got a service called Comfort Keepers In Home Care that's checking on her, and helping with errands and stuff at home. It's the one in Knoxville. My mom lives in Sevierville and that's outside their area but they do have people that work in that area too. They are expanding outside the Knoxville area and they charge a little more when they're outside their main service areas. They come and do a care consultation and they see exactly what the person needs, but they can also do a little bit of everything. They can do mail preparation, light housekeeping, run errands, and pick up medications at the pharmacy. They can also go get groceries. They do a 4-hour minimum so we get 4 hours on days that they come. The lady that did the care consultation was a nurse but usually, the people they have doing the services are not medical people. They help people keep up with their medication but they're not nurses so they don't do home health. They help people stay in their homes by helping them do any chores or tasks or errands that they need to be done. We've just started and it's been pretty good. The lady that came for mom was very nice and very patient, and mom likes their service.
