My husband is a home care patient of Heartland Hospice. The aids and nurses that come to my home to take care of. My husband are wonderful. However, the supplies are medical equipment are horrible. You don’t get supplies as they promise. They don’t allow you to use respite Every 30 days like they said I could when I signed up after my first respite I was told I couldn’t use it again in 30 days because that’s abuse. Connie in the office is nothing but a liar.

My dad was at home with hospice care for the last few weeks of his life. When my father was in the hospital, the liaison met us in the hallway and was extremely proficient from Day 1 with all her information, how the care would be started, and what they would give. The Heartland Hospice nurses were extremely good to my father and the family. They educated the family to know what to expect, they were very prompt with their visits, we never had to wait for anything, they came in the middle of the night if they were needed, and every one of them gave my father excellent care as well as my mother who had gone through anxiety issues at that time. They would go beyond what they needed to do, stay extra if it were just to hold his hand, and really did above and beyond if they were called to be there. We had no issues. Everybody always came when they were supposed to. They seem to genuinely care. They didn't just come and do a task you need, they genuinely cared about the client and family.
