My wife was under the care of Rivercross Hospice last year until she passed from ALS. Her needs were complex and ever changing, and those needs were met as best they could be by the most competent, compassionate and caring nurses and aides I have ever seen. They have an experienced and trained clinical ALS team that specializes in the care of ALS patients. They were a Godsend to my wife and to me as her sole care-provider.

You don't always get the same nurse. Some of the on call staff is rude and not caring

My experience was vastly different from the other reviewers. The team of ladies who bathed my husband were precious. They were very gentle with Harold, joking with him. They were so kind to me. But.... and here we are... I had to FIGHT, call, threaten for every wipe (really, a man is dying and you won't provide wipes???), diaper, pad, mask (we were in the midst of the COVID pandemic. ) At the end they begrudgingly gave mouth swabs. We had one (1) extra swab, less than half a package of diapers, and no pads remaining. It took the RN close to 2 hours to come and pronounce him dead... and this was the middle of the afternoon, not the wee hours of the morning. I must add that, the first week I threatened to change hospice and the CEO delivered a box of diapers, pads, and some wipes in the middle of the night. The meds my husband needed were quickly and efficiently provided. Would I recommend River Cross? No. This is a time to be supported, not forced to be in combat mode.

We have been with Rivercross since December of 2014. Our experience has and continues to be wonderful. They have provided top notch supplies and we haven't had to ask twice for our needs. The staff gives loving and supportive care. They understand the needs of those affected by ALS. We highly recommend Rivercross Hospice.

Very uncaring! They will try to not supply you with that they are required to by medicare just to save money! Many other options please interview and look at other options!
