My mom is at home. I hired a caregiver from Home Instead to help care for her. When I go into the room, she's sitting with my mom. This is important, if not more important, that she is visiting with my mom. She buys her ice cream. She makes her supper. She's the one who gives my mom a shower, so she's doing wonderful. And then I settled with a man because my mom likes a man's voice, so I asked for a man. Now, he's very good with her. My mom is hard of hearing. They talk loudly to her and they bring her outside, make sure she has her food, and stuff like that. They send a bill every two weeks. I haven't had a problem with it. They don't add on anything. If I say I have family coming in, I don't need a caregiver because I have my niece and my nephew, they will take care of her, and they'd say OK. So, they just don't send somebody. And I don't pay for that day. They're very accommodating. I like that about them.

Home Instead offers valuable services with in the assisted living facility where Mom resides. The light housekeeping performed by Home Instead has enabled the family to visit longer with Mom. The encouragement and companionship given to Mom from Home Instead is welcomed. The family is blessed to have Home Instead help care for Mom. Home Instead staff work well with the Assisted Living. A great team effort for a quality and safer environment.

Home Instead cared for my mother for over 7-years. Very professional and had caregivers come for 2 shifts each day. (3-hour shifts) Easy to communicate with and they would be available if we had questions- if we needed to cancel a shift. Friendly caregivers got along well with my mom and many remained friends. Cooked her meals, did laundry, and did some light cleaning. Caregivers occasionally took her to doctors appointments when family was not available. Overall had a very good experience.

I use Home Instead, and I had my service yesterday. It will be for a couple months, every single Wednesday. It's excellent. My caregiver went grocery shopping for me, she emptied my trash, got my mail, and did some light housekeeping. My caregiver was Carolyn. She's genuinely nice and very respectful and would ask me, "Is there anything else I can do for you?" She was very pleasant and very accommodating, just like you'd want your own relative to be or a good friend.

We have nothing, but good to say about Home Instead. They were very helpful. We had a young lady that was very dedicated. She would help get my wife into the shower twice a week and she did that for several years. The firm would notify me ahead of time if she was ill and if we wanted a substitute or not, but we settled to not have a substitute. We just waited for the young lady to come back after she became well. They did notify us of the possibility of COVID and all the other circumstances that were prevalent at that time, but my wife hung in there for five years in a hospital bed in our living room. She was always glad to see the caregiver. The caregiver that worked with my wife was Sandy, and she was there all the time. The other ones didn't last very long. It's either they left their job or moved on to different areas. It was partially paid for by the Department of Aging and the balance was paid by me by automatic checking account deduction.

My parents are having Home Instead come into their home. They like the caregivers that are coming in. They're very friendly and easy to talk to. They're helping them with laundry and running errands to the store. The laundry room's kind of far from their apartment, so they're helping them carry it down for them. They do light organization, cleaning, and then just companionship. My parents seem a lot more alert now that they're coming in. When I'm at work, they maybe don't talk to anybody except each other, but now it seems like they're much more alert when I come over to see them, so that's nice. They seem better with their cognitive ability just because they're not by themselves all day. They help with meals. I think they got my father breakfast one morning and lunch. They make sure they eat. Scheduling and billing have been very good. Everything's very well done.

we did in home care for our mother who was under Hospice care, and we just needed some additional assistance so we could rest. This staff was amazing in all they did for our family, while our time was short with Home Instead as my mother passed it was so calming to know we had the availably for the extra assistance. I would recommend this company to anyone I know who is need of additional care.

My mother, who has an in home visit every two weeks, was especially pleased with the friendliness, companionship and tasks that were accomplished by the visit of Sarah these past two visits. She said that she would very much like it if Sarah could be the person who comes each time.

My 90 yr old mother has received weekly bathing and household help for over a year. Olivia, at the agency, is prompt and courteous in communicating any changes. Our regular caregiver, Jessica, is always on time and has taught my mother new crafts which keeps her busy. This week, a young lady, Kailey came to fill in. Because of her youth, my first thought was to expect less. To my delight, she was thorough, polite, professional, and my mother was very comfortable with her. I thought of her as an old sole in a young person. I hope we see her again. Thank you Home Instead for the help and allowing my mother to enjoy her time at home. I highly recommend their service.

I receive assistance with the care of my small apartment. They have been helping me for 12 months now. Caregiver has never been late and is willing to go above and beyond if necessary. They have become extended family. I was hesitant at first with the idea of a stranger coming into my home. But, that hesitation disappeared quickly upon our first appointment. I would not hesitate to recommend this organization for other clients.

I have mobility problems, so I have my caregiver clean my floors, change my bed linens, and often do food prep that requires standing at the counter for extended periods of time, like cutting up produce, etc. My caregiver is ALWAYS here on time, and stays the whole two hours she's supposed to. She is not only competent, she is friendly and sweet. A pleasure to spend time with. The agency is wonderful, and sometimes makes a call just to check on my well-being.

Home Instead are very reliable. 90% of the people that come are very good. A couple of them were a little undertrained, but the majority of the times that my mother has had a Home Instead person, we have been extremely pleased. Sandra was here for the first six months, and she was amazing. Debra, who comes at night, is terrific. Dolores, who took over for Sandra, is also really good. All three of those ladies are wonderful. There are other ones that are really good too, but these ones are above and beyond. We have Home Instead since December. They help my mother with brushing her teeth, combing her hair, and companionship. My mother is extremely comfortable with them, especially with the ladies that I mentioned. She likes them quite a bit.

We were fortunate to have Cheryl as my father's caregiver for the last couple years of his life. My father loved her. She was so kind, caring, and compassionate with him. She is very competent in her work and even in my father's last weeks, when he became hard to manage. Cheryl adapted to bed, baths, and feeding him. Cheryl never came and sat down. She got to work and took care of every need my father had.

We had 24 hour coverage and it was well worth it as we knew the "Mom" was in good hands when we went to sleep or ran errands.
