I have dealt with hospice care 3 times in the last 5 years and I can say this company (Compassionate Care Hospice) by far is just horrible. I will not recommend them to ANYONE. They don’t know the meaning of the word compassion and they certainly need lessons on how hospice is suppose to work! They don’t communicate with the care givers. There response time is horrible. Nurse was suppose to show up at 11:30AM and after I called them at 1 I finally heard back at 3PM and was told she was delayed due to another patient but would be at my house in 40 minutes. She showed up at 6PM in my life that is a 3 hours not 40 minutes with no communication. Just not acceptable. I understand that it may have been a difficult situation for the nurse but the company should have made me aware of the late arrival of the nurse. And in this case I found out the poor nurse had to take on another nurses patients on top of hers. That tells me that all this Company cares about is money. Not about compassion at all. When my husband passed away our family waited 21/2 hours before a hospice nurse arrived and before we could contact the funeral home. So much for calling them 24 hours a day. You can call but don’t expect a timely response. I won’t even go into a phone call that I received regarding the passing of my husband when he was actually still living. I then was the one that had to place the call to the medical supply company ( who were great and very responsive) 4 days after my husbands passing to get all the equipment removed from my home. Again unacceptable! Please don’t use this company to help you or your family during a very trying and stressful time they will only cause more pain and sorrow.

My mother-in-law had hospice care at Compassionate Care Hospice. Somebody was there 24 hours a day. They were great at taking care of her, sending in a nurse and the equipment needed and medications. They were very compassionate, very caring, and very fast if changes needed to be made or equipment was needed. They were amazing.
