We are super happy with our decision to go with Home Instead for help with my mom. While we have only been using their services for a few weeks I cannot say enough good things about our caregiver Shaylynn! She is awesome! My mom was reluctant to have someone new in the house but absolutely loves Shaylynn. This is all new territory for us as my dad is in a nursing home and mom has been living independently for 3 years. Shaylynn is patient, kind and is the perfect match for my mom.

We initially had someone come in to give my mom a break from caring for my Dad who had Parkinson’s. He passed in 2020, and when my mom got to a point where it was move her or bring in help, we opted to let her stay home and contacted Home Instead to get someone to help care for her. They sent out Patricia, who has been a complete God send. She cooks for her, cleans the house, works word puzzles, takes Mom for walks, and just provides what Mom needs, company. She loves Patricia! So do we!

Respite Memory care, personal care like cleaning and not only cleaning in the house but cleaning the person that needs help my husband . we have a really fine Helper. Her name is Pam Pam does so well we just don’t have any criticisms of Pam. She is smart caring careful and she just does things the right way. She’s very helpful. It’s a great service and makes a big difference in my life

Home Instead does laundry, light housework (sweeping, mopping, dishes) pantry and refrigerator organizing, caring for our dogs, bathing, adult diaper changing, respite, coordination with hospice care, socializing, and accompanying us to doctor appointments. All of the caregiver aids have been extremely professional, helpful, and supportive. They treat us like we are cherished members of their family rather than just customers or clients.

My mother was coming home from the hospital after having two stents put in her heart. I wanted to make sure that my mother had someone qualified to care for her and give her companionship when I had to leave to pick up a prescription, go shopping for groceries, etc. After interviewing several companies I selected Home Instead because of the variety of services they provided. They assisted my mother with her showering, dressing, and using the toilet. As well as prepared meals for her, doing light house work and laundry. Having a Home Instead Care Provider with my mother gave me great Peace of Mind. I knew that she was being properly cared for. The Owners and Care Providers have Always been Very Friendly, Polite, and Respectful. The company did an Excellent job of keeping me informed and were very easy to work with if I had to change the days and or hours I scheduled care for my mother. The Care Providers were always on time and made my mother feel very special. We had one primary Care Provider and one Care Provider to assist when the primary had a day off. My mother became very fond of her primary Care Provider and considered her a part of our family. I Highly Recommend Home Instead. The care and kindness shown to my mother and our family by this company was a True Blessing.

Fairly recent client of Home Instead, but so far I am more than pleased. I left another, more expensive agency due to poor communication and apathetic care givers. The communication has been excellent from Home Instead. They are really working with me to find the right care giver for my Dad. All the care givers I have delt with have been engaged and caring. And I finally think we have some stability. Be responsible for my Dads care is an honor- but draining. It is so nice to feel like I have an actual partner to help me.

My mother fell, breaking her left arm and once she was released from rehab I knew she and my step-dad, who is on a walker, would need assistance. I knew they would need assistance with cleaning, laundry, meal preparation and transportation .... but Elizabeth and her team went far above and worked with me to develop a plan of support -- that will continue for a few weeks. All the caregivers are very kind and Sandy, my parents care manager, has been great at communication. I live in California and my parents live in Independence MO ... because of Covid I could not travel home to assist but have not needed to because of the excellent care Home Instead Lee's Summit is providing.

I recently hired Home Instead for the care of my 88 year old father. I am extremely pleased with the timely responses to my request. Since the initial call to the office to the time they were in my fathers home for his evaluation and eventually placed a care giver was very prompt. When I needed to contact the office everyone has been both encouraging and friendly. I live out of town therefore I need a lot of communication with all involved in my fathers care. My father and I could not be more happy with the caregiver they have placed in his home. She is becoming like family!!! Thank you!! I wish I would of started with Home Instead first!

Home Instead continues to be an excellent provider for us. Arriving on time every time and putting the customers needs first with a pleasant attitude and suggestions for meal planning. The office staff is very responsive to meet our needs with the sometimes needed schedule changes. Overall I’d like to show happy and smiling faces from this experience.

The agency caregivers work 3 hours per day, 3 days a week for my dad. Their routine is arrival at 8:00 a.m., prepare breakfast, clean kitchen, light housework, dusting and vacuuming. The agency makes sure the time is covered by a caregiver if the regular caregiver cannot work. Dad appears to get along with all the personnel we have met since we started using Home Instead about 6 months ago. The agency follows up routinely on our satisfaction with their services.

I have been pleased with Home Instead. They have been good to be available when I need them, and my wife, who has dementia has been very comfortable with each of them. They have have been good to assist me with chores, vacuuming, emptying they dish washer, and one has been good to do the laundry which takes a load off of me. Their presence has been a godsend to me.

I got a call at noon on a Saturday that my uncle needed 24 hour care.I called Home Instead thinking they would not be able to get care until Monday. Within 2 hours they had arranged 24 hour coverage for my uncle. He loved all the care givers they sent.I had used the care givers a year prior and had great care givers. The support staff is also very good at communicating any issues they see. The caregiver portal is great for those whose loved ones are living in a different state.

What a great service! It's nice to have great and consistent care for my aunt. The caregivers are professional, friendly, patient and willing to go the extra mile.
