For the most part we had very caring staff that were kind and loving. The last night there was a nurse who was loud and obnoxious, not very calming in the room of a dying person. She was frequently going out to smoke when she knew strong smells really bothered the patient. She really disturbed the calm environment we had created.

We had a very good experience. If any problems did arise they were quickly handled. They offer many wonderful opportunities and resources-take advantage of them! There were several things I wish my mother would have been able to do but she was past that capability. Don't be scared by the term hospice. It is a wonderful service and their help is invaluable.

The families we assist at the time of losing a loved one, cannot say enough about the superb care they have received from Kansas City Hospice. A common comment is that the family is cared for as much as the patient is and they only wish they had contacted KC Hospice earlier.

Kansas City Hospice was truly wonderful for our entire family. The entire staff was caring, committed, and compassionate. We felt comfortable to call anytime day or night, to ask for assistance (although it was usually offered before we had to ask), and yet we never felt like our home was being invaded. Every person we dealt with was professional but warm. They struck the perfect balance and treated my father with warmth and dignity until the very end. If you or a loved one is in need of hospice care, I truly believe Kansas City Hospice is the finest facility in town.

We are using Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care for my mom and they have been wonderful. They provide bathing and there's a case worker, nurse, and a chaplain that comes by. Overall, they have just been excellent.

If I ever find myself in a situation where I need hospice care, this will be where I want to go. The facilities, all staff, the rooms, the food, doctors, nurses and care partners, the volunteers, programs (pet therapy, music therapy) - everything about this place was top notch. The people working in this facility are angels on earth. They work under difficult circumstances with the utmost care and respect for patients and loved ones. There are no appropriate words to share how this facility made such a difficult situation much easier.
