My father was a retired corporate lawyer and wanted to explore all of his options for hospice care before choosing. Although he was entering hospice very late in his battle with cancer, he was adamant about talking to several hospice care agencies and meeting the staff that would be working with him before choosing. Nurse Beckie, Pam, and Angela were amazing: when he met them personally, he was impressed by their experience and was confident that if he chose them, they would prove to be very kind and attentive to his needs. They made time to meet him and devised a plan for his care even before he contractually signed with them, so that they could give him the best care as soon as possible. Despite his failing condition, they always were very positive in their visits and engaged with him on a personal level. He felt a strong connection with Pam and Angela immediately and they both engaged and joked with him on every visit. He always lit up when he saw them and was happy to chat with understanding nurses who could brighten the mood for him with casual exchanges. Nurse Beckie was always easy to reach out to and get an immediate response for any questions or concerns. She was there with our family at my father’s end and helped facilitate a peaceful transition for him. We were so very happy with our experience with Kindred and we encourage others to seek their expertise!

My father-in-law has been receiving hospice care with Gentiva Hospice for about a month now, set up through the hospital. They came and interviewed us, and that’s how we got them. It has been great. They’re very helpful and very informative. The caregiver does whatever we need, and she is always available, so that’s great. The management has been wonderful, too. They showed up the day after he was accepted into their program and were very efficient and helpful. I would absolutely recommend them.
