They need have better communication with me and stick to what is supposed to be done. I was notified that there would be a change in personnel, but I don't know if the new person is aware of what my mother needs. I didn't know how much training they had or if there was a detailed, up-to-date procedure for what my mother needs. They need to have better training for the caregivers and hire people with more common sense. They should be aware of their clients, use common sense, and have more personable training for specific clients.

Leah came and stayed overnight with our brother who has dementia. She took him out to eat at his favorite place, visited with him and watched tv. She gave him his meds and took him to day care the next morning after breakfast. She also fed our cats and cleaned their litter boxes. Leah left detailed care notes. We were very pleased and impressed with the care she provided. Adam, the operations manager, was very professional and helpful in setting up this appointment. We highly recommend At Home Care for taking care of your loved ones.

There were days when the caregivers just didn't show up to provide the care and that had a negative impact on the clients life. I would have liked a better explanation of the schedule and when there would be caregivers as well as what was going on when the caregivers were in the home, or why they didn't show up when that happened.

I've had some difficulty with them cleaning. I probably have high standards, but when I pay people well, I expect a good job. I've asked them to check the refrigerator because he gets friendship meals, but when I looked in there, there was a bunch of containers that are growing mildew in them. I'm trying to be patient, but when I pay good money I expect to have things done without telling them what to do. We don't always have the same person and that's disheartening, because it's important to get to know a person who is coming into my home to build trust.
