The village has a relatively comfortable climate and a cost of living that is lower than the national average, which may make it a good option for retirees. It has nearly a dozen local parks where seniors can enjoy paved walking paths, picnic areas and bird-watching. With its peaceful outdoor amenities and proximity to the stores, restaurants and entertainment venues of Cincinnati, it's no surprise that seniors make up nearly 11% of the population

Seniors in New Richmond have numerous home care agencies to choose from. While prices vary depending on several factors, the Genworth 2018 Cost of Care Survey reports that homemaker services and home health aide services in New Richmond cost an average of $22 per hour or $4,195 per month. This is roughly on par with the national average cost of homemaker services and home health aide services, which are $4,004 and $4,195 per month, respectively.

Note: Home care cost data wasn’t available for New Richmond, so data for the closest city, Cincinnati, was used.
