Meet the Long Beach Team Julia LaPlount Owner/Community Relations Julia has lived in Long Beach for 56 years. She and her husband raised their two children in Long Beach. In the past she has been a volunteer for the Friendly Visitors program for Seniors in Long Beach and has also been a Hospice Volunteer. Julia worked for a non-profit for 38 years. Their mission was research and education for the elderly and disabled. As CEO she was directly involved in their Adult Daycare Center for Alzheimer's and Dementia and in developing a Wellness Center specifically designed for the needs of the elderly and disabled. When her mother suffered a stroke, she became her caregiver. For years she had witnessed the frustration of families looking for help for their loved ones. She experienced this first hand with her own mother when employing caregivers through agencies. Julia was fortunate to work with the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center where they specialize in rehab for Spinal Cord Injury, Post Stroke, Brain Injury and Diabetes. She received training and advice from Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists and a Geriatric Physician, whose specialty was gerontology research and education. These relationships were invaluable in enabling her to provide the best care for her mom. Her desire is to provide the best care to her clients and to provide support to the families, comes from her own personal experiences. She is very familiar with working with the different public agencies and feels she can make an important contribution to the well- being of their clients and families. Jennifer Rodrigues Director of Operations Jennifer was born and raised in Long Beach, where she attended grade school, middle school and Millikan High school. As a customer service specialist for over 20 years, she made sure her staff treated their customers with respect and put them first. She brings this same commitment to excellent customer service to her position as Director of Operations. She assisted her mom in caring for her grandmother and her dad. The last several years, she has shared a home with someone who has developed Dementia. When she approached the family, they did not understand the changes that she was witnessing, and that assistance was needed. Eventually, they agreed to have their loved one evaluated, and she received the diagnosis. Since that time, Jennifer has assisted in finding caregivers for her. She has also developed a passion for not only helping the client, but also providing education and assistance to caregiving families.

Then if you want to proceed, we'll meet in person where we'll do a free in-home assessment. After that, care can start a day or two later - whenever you prefer. From Our Owner Enriched Hearts Home Care was founded on the need to age better in your home. After over a year of me taking care of my grandfather with dementia, we had to put him in a nursing home. After being in & out of several facilities, our nursing home experience wasnt the best. I saw first hand the impact it had on my grandfather and our family. As I think of my parents, I want to avoid this, and be able to provide a solution for them to age as they wish, in the place they love - their home. That is why I founded Enriched Hearts Home Care.

"I have a very high regard for the folks at LiveWell. When my mom had a stroke and we needed dependable and kind care for her 24/7, I was concerned that both the caregivers and the agency and office folks be kind, attentive and organized. "Hello, I would love to give accolades to my mom's ( NOLA) caregiver "LAVETTA". In addition, the company in which she is employed with. HOMEINSTEAD, CULVER CITY Apprehension! is how I would describe my emotions entering, into this new world of a caregiver. The year 2023, mom @ 92yrs old, had a stroke. Dad, 88yrs. old, couldn't take care of her. Her left side was affected. She couldn't bathe, comb or physically take care of her basic needs. Tasked with the newly onset of providing care for my mom. I went online searching. I contacted serveral caregiver establishments. On the verge of deciding, I encountered, Ms CHAZZ, a highly professional that exudes genuine compassion through her voice alone. We set up a meeting. So many of our questions of apprehension were alleviated. Ms. Chazz's answers of confidence in the caregiver's abilities were definitely assuring for my father and myself. Caregiver LAVETTA , is the most top notch caregiver, Mom is most we have exp! Most importantly, Mom loves her!!!"
